Ganja Growing Gurus Desperately Needed (pics)

I’m having the worst friggin time with my grow system. I swear I’m about to go crazy with this crap. Ok, I’m done ranting.

Every time I move my plants from outdoors to indoors they start dying. I’ve even brought the clones home and gone directly to indoors with the same horrible results. I’ve moved the same plants back and forth from indoor to outdoor until all I’m left with is twigs with a little growth on them, although once outdoors they start coming back to life. (Pic included)

Here’s the stats…
I’m using fox farm from head to toe. Ocean forest for the medium and their whole array of nutrients. I’m using purified water and making ph adjustments to 6.5 after I mix in the nutes. I have a probe for testing the soil and I get a consistent reading of 6.5-6.8. I don’t think I’m over/under watering but there’s always a possibility I am.
The indoor plants are in a 4X4 grow hut in my garage, both are only opened twice a day. I’m using a 600 HPS and two 265 cfm blowers, one blowing in and the other blowing out. Also there are two small oscillating fans in the hut, one on the plants and the other on the bulb to blow the heat off. The bulb is 30” from the plants and I cant feel any bulb heat anywhere near the plants.

The only variables between indoors and outdoors I can think of are light and atmosphere. When put in the grow hut for a week or two they start to dry up and die or get this dry white powdery substance. Both plants were in the same indoor grow hut. one is burning and the other has white powder. (pics included)

Please, ganja gurus turn your light of truth my way.

Im no expert by far but was just wondering how hot and hunmid your grow rooms are getting you may not feel the heat of the bulb but I can tell you this it generates a lot of heat

You need to adjust the ph of your fert water after mixing and also test ph in your soil mix. So, you at least need some ph test strips in the aquarium section of a petstore or a brew your own beer/wine store. Ph range 4-7 is ok. Better a narrower range around 6. Ph probes you stick in the soil are worthless!

How to test soil ph: After watering/ferting till runoff, wait 30 minutes. Apply a small amount of distilled water to the pot surface till 1 or 2 ounces of runoff occurs. Catch this on a saucer. Test this ph. If after watering/ferting and waiting 30 minutes you can tilt the pot and get some liquid out, you can test that instead.

Above ph 6.5 is going to cause problems no matter whether your using soil or soilless.

Powdery mildew can be prevented by spraying both sides of the leaves with 1-2 teaspoons baking soda per gallon of water. Don't spray near a hot bulb or it could shatter and cause a fire or hurt you.

You might not want to have a fan blowing up your plants ass but indirectly. :D

Thanks for responding....the grow room gets up to around 85 degrees at its warmest. Im not sure of the humidity, could it be too high and that is where the white mildew is coming from.

Blackvelvet, I did the test with the distilled water to check the ph with a chem ph kit a little while back because I had read where you had posted that info for someone else. I got a 6.5-7 or so reading. I agree on the probes and my probe is consistantly towards akaline a half. If the chem ph says 6.5 the probe will read 7.0 so using that is how I checked the soil ph.

The air the plants get is just the air in my garage. could this problem be bad air?
Also is it possible to have a bad HPS bulb that still lights up? dumb question but Im stumped.

how about oxygen?

u know my plants r dying randomly too... another 1 is officially dead (still has some healthy branches)

but i keep thinkin what could the problem be? they've been in the same soil/pots their whole lives, and even though the pots could be bigger...they're still decent...

i've been watering'em a CRAPLOAD thinking I'm supposed to water'em daily... I recently found out that's too much but they've gotten 5 feet tall w/ the same ammount of excess water... why are they dying NOW?

THE ONLY THING DIFFERENT IS THE HEAT!!!

I'm thinkin too much heat had to be the reason...
