This Auto Hindu Kush is now on day 95(!) and has just sprouted bananas on a small pop-corn bud. (See photos below.)
I'm assuming it's the plants in built survival mechanism trying to kick.
The plant has been grown organically in soil and sunlight.
Feeding stopped three weeks ago. Watering has been kept to a minimum in the last couple of weeks.
The intention was to wait until trics were 50% amber for a medicinal smoke.
But there has been hardly any direct sunlight for two weeks now so it has really slowed down (hence lasting up to day 95).
Trics are currently 85% cloudy 15% amber.
Does anyone no what is the best option?
eg:
1. Remove bananas immediately and harvest now?
2. Remove bananas and wait for 50/50 milky amber trics. (Forecast is dull, dull, dull)?
3. Ignore bananas, chill out a bit and wait longer for 50/50 trics. (There aren't any other plants around that could get fertilised.)
4. Celebrate bananas and hope to get a handful of self pollinated seeds (would this even be possible on a plant so old?)
I know a lot of people panic at the sight of bananas but, I really don't think this plant is a hermie as such - ok it has started showing hermie tendencies but I think that's just it's ancient age.
Any help greatly appreciated.
