Funny stuff to read?

The days are quite boring as of late, and I enjoy a good hardy laugh, the type that makes your sides hurt, prevents you from breathing and makes you cry you're laughing so damn hard.

I've gone through the funny pic thread from start to finish, but sometimes the best laughs I get are from reading funny shit. Auto-corrects are pretty good but sometimes it takes a lot of reading to find the real gold.

Anybody have any good, really hilarious stuff/sites to read?

almost every morning after my 1st cup of java I write obituaries for Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, Michele Leonhart and Justin Bieber; as you might imagine the thoughts and sentiments are none too kind but humorous, of course included are the humiliating and preposterous ways they died.

try it, you'll like it :)

My wife likes those auto correct things. She'll be reading them on her phone, and it's all quiet, and she'll suddenly burst out laughing, so I'll ask her what it said and I never get it. I'll end up just starting at her with a blank look and trying to fake laugh at the same time. It's sad.

My favorite things to read when I'm bored and want to laugh are comic strip style websites. The Oatmeal is a good one. There's also XKCD if you like geeky nerdy stuff like I do. Also there's Hyperbole and a Half, which is cool because she draws funny illustrations to go along with her crazy stories. Oh yeah, and don't forget about Cracked. That place is guaranteed laughter if you like reading longer stories and articles. And The Onion if you like political satire. If all else fails you can always watch videos of cats being cute. That's what the internet was made for, apparently.

If you're into reading books (shocking! I know, in this day and age of the web), I can recommend an author: Christopher Moore. He generally writes funny stories with interesting people in them, and he always throws some kind of monster or two into the works to increase the hilarity/drama. It's even better if you live in or around San Francisco, many of his novels take place in that city and it's pretty cool reading a book where you know the neighborhood he's writing about. His stuff is easy to read, and it's always nice to get the fuck away from the internet once in a while.

Here's his stuff at Amazon:

Oh yeah, I forgot about some of those comics, I'll have to go check them out.

I'm not much of a book reader tbh, I never really have been. I think books are great and all I've just never been able to pick one up and enjoy reading it.

I am a good reader, however but have always preferred technical drawings and the like :)
