If it is a soil grow, cover the top layer with sand and put a little slice of potatoa under the sand. the big ones will not be able to lay eggs through the sand and anyone who stick arounf will eat the potato instead of your plant. otherwise that thing will be dead soon they feast on roots and your 1 inch plant don't have many. if its hydro get the misquito dunks or check GTG hydroponis on the net for cheap small bottles of gnatrol.

Gnats larvae feed off young root hairs and the adults tend to get stuck in the nuggs like flypaper other than that they really cause no harm.Ive personally never seen them kill a plant even a seedling so Id be looking to other things as the cause of your problems. If gnats are present and thriving Im guessing the medium is being kept kinda wet.Remember cannabis doesnt like to have wet feet especially young seedlings which are working to establish a strong root system.Let them dry a bit in between waterings and when you do water do so lightly with little to no runoff you should see some improvement in no time!!Good luck!!

Good luck with that one.Fungus gnats are near impossible to eradicate.Over time the soil gardener just learns to live with em,eventually making up names for each one.I just hate it when they get stuck to the buds like tanglefoot.Good luck!!

out of all the advice i received i reckon the sand is most effective i put 1 inch of sand on the soil and watered and feed from the drip tray and the plants are racing away. thanks to everyone for advice. :headbange
