Fungus Among Us...

Week 4

This curable or should I cull her and call it a bust? Looks like some kind of uncontrollable outbreak going on. Last three days been spraying the leaves before lights go out with organic antifungal stuff, Mammoth CannControl and Lost Coast Plant Therapy. Thinking of spraying them with some compost tea tonight instead. Then tomorrow with some 3% solution of peroxide.

Hi, sorry for the dumb question but how can you tell it's fungus?

And, sorry I only had a question and not an answer.

I just have a strong suspicion that it is. Could be Black Spot Mildew. Thinking of trying this Copper Fungicide they sell at Home Depot. Doesn't look like a deficiency to me, and I've seen a few. My pH is 6.7 last time I checked, which is good for a soil grow, so no lockouts. And my humidity was at 90% at night before I replaced the exhaust fan to fix this.

Keep her, she will give you some nice flower tops in a couple of months. You don't have a fungus. The bronzing on your leaf is on the inside of the leaf whereas a fungus is on the outside. The ground is staying wet too long or too much water. Let the soil dry for a while. Take a hand cultivator and gently loosen the soil around the plant. IF you are using mulch pull it back so the soil can breathe a while. Don't give your plant any fertilizer or it will get worse. 😎

If you keep over-watering you will get a surefire case of mold or powdery mildew. When the plant starts flowering and the buds get thicker is when you will most likely see mold or powdery mildew if you continue to overwater. 😎
Alright, I pulled out all of the mulch layer entirely. And yes, the pot is super wet to the touch, especially at the bottom of the fabric pot. I sprayed some Compost Tea I started brewing yesterday, sprayed the whole plant. Then let it sit for an hour in darkness. I was gonna let it sit over night like that then come to find out that mildews best friend is darkness and humidity...so I raced to Home Depot and grabbed a bottle of that Copper Fungicide stuff, supposed to be organic, seems safe enough to use. And After spraying the plant with that stuff I trimmed some more of the bad leaves. Jad the lights real low until everything dried off ..then put her on regular schedule of lighting. Have the exhaust fan a little higher than usual and the 2 six inch fans are going a little higher as well. Will not water till I feel the bottom of the pot dry.

nutrition is the friend you are missing.. the bottles you are buying and spraying are terrible for your plants and flowers.

Fertilizer isn’t medicine for sick plants. If plants are ailing for other reasons, fertilizer won’t help plants snap out of it. Usually, when a sick plant gets a dose of fertilizer it does more harm than good, as you are learning in this grow. Good luck Friend. 😎

Makes sense, the compost tea is a microbe Inoculant. The microbes are said to be a good safeguard against pathogens. Just trying anything and everything right now. The Copper Fungicide seems to have slowed whatever this plant is suffering from. After this is done, whichever way it goes, the pots and medium will be thrown out and everything inside the tent will be thoroughly sanitized. From what I can tell, it's not looking good. So keep the air flow going constantly guys. Humidity is good when in veg, bad when in flower... very bad. Don't ask me how I know.
