Fuddys Purple Hybrids

Welcome to my outdoor-grow-diary-2016.

This is my first post on icmag and I feel like I should introduce myself to you. I'm living in central europe around the 52° latitude. Growing cannabis here is prohibited so I can't give you too many information about me and where exactly I'm growing. However... you can call me Fuddy.

I hope you enjoy reading this cause it's quite a bit of effort for me to write this in english as it's not my first language and I'm kind of rusty. If you do so I'd appreciate any kind of feedback to keep my motivation up.

Well let me get started...

It's kind of hard to find good spots here as the area is pretty urban.

Forests are frequently visited by hunters and lumberjack and usually theres not enough light cause the trees are way to high. The soil in coniferous forests is too acid anyway.

Riverside woodland is passed by hobby-fishermen but usually the soil there is really good.

Cornfields are randomly harvested. Depends on weather and what product it will be converted to. I don't like gambling though.

Excluding those types of land there's not much left except urban areas. I found some spots last year though that are all completely different and turned out to be safe aswell. Will take some time until I can show you pictures of them as it's too early to put my girls out into the wilderness.

Sun is shining 13 hours/day atm in case of perfect weather - not enough yet. My plan is to prepare the spots during the next weeks and plant around the 1st may (16 hours/day).

My 2016 strains are
Durban Poison (cuttings) dont Shaman (fem) and Frisian Dew (fem) by Dutch Passion
Sweet Purple by Paradise Seeds.

I'll also try to produce some seeds from Shaman, Durban Posion, Hash Plant II & Danish Gold by Hybrids from Hell cause the borderpolice in some countries is already scanning packets & post for cannabis seeds. I'm trying to be independent from breeders in the future because I don't want to be visited by the police...

Might upload some pictures in the next days.

Peace out
Fuddy

Welcome to the forums. Will those plants finish outdoors that far north? Good luck with finding a spot to plant in.

Hi Fuddy,
Your English is better than mine, so no worries there.
I'm at 53 north so I appreciate how hard it is to grow good buds this far north.
Looking forward to watching this grow. Have you tried these strains before?
I grew Shaman and Durban last year and they did not finish properly for me. The Shaman was close and if I started from clones I think most would finish.
The Durban was not even close, but I have heard of others having luck with it. Guess it depends where you got it from.
Best of luck and may all your Buds be Huge.

Peace GG

Hi Fuddy,

It's easier to write things down cause I got more time to find the right words. Would probably stutter a lot when talking face to face.

Last year the Frisian Dews and Shamans finished between the end of september (cuttings or/and poor soil) and beginning of october (better soil and seedplants) with <10% mold - was really satisfied with the results. I had a small patch with Durban Poisons aswell. Can confirm that they finish later but I still managed to get some F2 seeds. I'm pretty excited how they'll perform as they're my first "babys" ever.

Btw if you're looking for really fast genetics you might want to try Zen Seeds/Hybrids from Hell. They'll definitely finish in time. Harvested my HfH plants last year during mid of september. The only problem with these genetics is that they must be vegged/grown under sunlight cause they will start flowering if not.

However...
This monday I prepared the Railway-Spot. Took some pictures aswell.

Alright, update time.
Currently there are 10x Frisian Dew fem., 10x Shaman fem. &
10x Sweet Purple fem. in my box under 17/7 light.

The girls are doing well even though they don't have much light. Don't want them to be too tall when they're carried to the spot. They got 3 more weeks under fluorescent lights. Guess the pots will contain more roots than soil then.

The shamans are going to spend their summer at the railway spot. Guess I'll have to tie them down as the blackbarries are only 1 1/2 metres tall. The shamans will easily reach 2m+. Don't want to take a risk there.

The sweet purples + frisian dews are going to be planted near a creek close to a walkway. Unfortunately I can't prepare the soil there yet. Loads of stinging nettles there during summer and a few trees that cover the spot but atm I would be spotted too easily. Will probably wait 2 more weeks. Might upload some pics of the spot then.

I germinated the Shamans and the Hashplant II + Royale Dane aswell (all not fem.). They'll be planted at a hill near the highway. Got much space there and sun all day long but pretty bad soil. Will have to bring some fertilizer so the plants will grow bigger than last year.

Harvested ~200 Durban-seeds last year in late october or even november. Didn't visit the plants after planting them. The buds were already rotting so I'm not sure of what quality they were. Maybe I'll germ 100, bring them to the freeway hill - If the plants turn out to be too late/too bad quality. Who cares? But if they're decent....

However, I'll prepare the freewayhill-spot this week. So you can expect some more pics then.

So... I've cut some trees and bushes at the freewayhill spot. Took some photos aswell. The spot is directed southwards/downhill so the sun will be shining on the girls pretty much all day. Will bring some batguano and hornmeal there in the next days. The soil is really dense and contains a lot of rocks so it will be time-consuming to burrow the fertilizer. Hope it eventually pays out.

Took a quick look at the creek spot aswell. Will start preparing it next week - still not enough cover. Guess you can find some leftovers from last year
