FSO/RSO closed loop production.

Hello all, first post here goes. I've been making full spectrum oil (rso) using distilled everclear in a pot still to reuse the alcohol. I decarboxylate and turn my product into a bakers flour texture before soaking in everclear for at least 24hrs. After soaking and separating plant material I run the solution through food grade activated charcoal to remove extra chlorophyll (makes it easier on people with sensitive stomachs i.e. people recovering from chemotherapy or suffering from irritable bowel syndrome).
Ive recently acquired and heavily modified a terpinator mk3 (my new frankenstractor lol) and was wondering if I can use this to do my FSO extraction with butane? any input on processing decarboxylated material in a closed loop would be greatly appreciated!
Will i need to figure out a second column so I can still carbon filter?

Full spectrum oils are usually made with ethanol, butane is better for inhaled products.

You should decarb after extraction and distillation of ethanol, this keeps the green out of your product instead of ensuring you extract lots of it.

extract very cold and quickly for the first run to produce your edible or dabb-able products then do a second 24 hour soak if you are worried about getting every last bit out, use that dark oil for topical or animal edible meds.

search QWET (Quick Wash Ethanol) for info on cold extraction and decarb in a 240 degree F oil bath after removing ethanol until bubbling stops for complete decarb.
When the bubbles stop decarb is complete, no guessing.

No need to carbon filter proper QWET.

You are ruining good meds by baking them before extraction in an attempt to decarb.

Most RSO tech is absolute crap and it's why your oil is so green people get sick to their stomach on it.

If you want to improve the potency easily you can deep freeze before distilling off the ethanol and winterize which is filtering off the waxes and lipid which will precipitate out after several days and can be filtered out.



QWET as cold and fast as possible then decarb for a clean golden colored product full of terps.

At this point it's also possible to do a cold ethanol removal and harvest THCa which is mostly non psychoactive and has great market and medicinal value if produced very cold.
