you know when your walking around the fair and you see those bags of colored flavored popcorn in cherry, orange, berry, etc? well here's how you make it and it's delicious medicated as the flavor really hides any medicated taste if you're not down with that.

pop enough popcorn to fill up ten cups, grease a big bowl or sheet to put he popcorn in so it stays warm in the oven which makes the candy coating cover it easier. heat your oven to 300F, stick in the popped popcorn and start making the candy coating.
find a candy thermometer. I know the recipe says you don't need one but if you're not experienced in candy making, then this will really really help. you could even use a meat thermometer fellas
so gather all the ingredients in the above linked recipe and put in a saucepan. then heat it up till it reaches 250F at least. stir while your waiting periodically and it will take a little while to reach the temperature. probably would work best on a medium to medium high setting but this depends on you stovetop (electric, glass top, gas) but fiddle around with the temp and see what works best for you.
when it reaches the temp, take it off and drizzle it over the popcorn. it sometimes helps to have an extra hand but it's not needed if you don't have a lot of popcorn in the container. sometimes I have several bowls so it's easier to stir up and coat all the popcorn.
you can roll them into popcorn balls, or spread out on wax paper and let cool then break apart with your fingers. give away to friends and family during the holidays or hide it away so no one else can taste your delicious snack. the sugars make it melt in our mouth when it's fresh and warm but it's still good either way. enjoy!
