The main article on the front page of the Sunday Oregonian is about dispensaries in Oregon. It is an interesting read, some highlights are:

Multinomah county DA says," Prosecuting marijuana establishments isn't a law enforcement priority. If you are going to engage in drug enforcement and you going to allocate prosecutorial resources, are you going to do it at marijuana or are you going to do it at heroin? We hardly have enough time to do and resources to do anything meaningful with heroin."

The same DA went to Mt. Hood Wellness Center in Portland and checked it out with his senior prosecutor. They looked around and left. He stated, "Certainly the police don't have time to investigate. I wasn't something I was going to run out and ask East Precinct to take a look at."

Same guy chats with grand juries before they're dismissed. Routinely they say they are worried about drugs in the community. "All except marijuana you ought to go after," they tell him.
"They single that one out," he says.
