As long as you have entire root ball intact, don't break main stem....transplanting is ok. It's when you really jostle the plant it stresses them.

Not familiar with soil mix you are using. I know several organic soil mixes are a wee bit too hot, mainly due to peat content. Perhaps add perlite to the soil mix....have it in final container, water, then create a hole/depression where root structure fits nicely and tamp surrounding soil lightly around your plant/root ball.

Good luck!!

As Aridbud says, transplanting is fine if you're good at it. I let seedlings get ~as tall as their beercups, gently slip out the rootball when they're wet, set 'em in new pots & water 'em in. They don't even droop.

Greenfields is Roots Organics' outdoor mix, heavier than their original which is intended for indoors. I did well indoors with autos using the original in 3 gal pots, added some worm castings, used Roots' Buddha bloom at weeks 6 & 8. I'm not sure I even needed the Buddha Bloom.
