FRISIAN DEW by DP...whos grown it?

Hello everyone.

Im looking to grab some seeds for my next grow. I need a really heavy yielder, and something relativly easy to grow. Im also looking for feminized seeds since I don't like wasting time and resources on plants which don't do me any good.
Here is something that caught my eye (copy pasted)

DPF5- FRISIAN DEW
Breeder : Dutch Passion
Flowering Time : 7-8 Weeks
Environment : Outdoor
Seeds Per Pack : 5

The most beautiful outdoor variety we have ever encountered. A Super Skunk female x Purple Star male, seen after 3 years of selecting clones. Although we produced many Skunk/Purple hybrids in the past 20 years, we have never seen anything coming close to this hybrid. Light purple coulour.(50% Indica, 50% Sativa). Very high yielder, very good stem to leave ratio (only little leaves). Not susceptible to mold. Absolute premium quality outdoor strain. A must for the outdoor grower. THC: 5.7%

flowering period: 7 to 8 weeks
harvest time outdoor: 1st week of Oktober
yield: Way above average

Why is this an outdoor plant? Like, I don't understand why I wouldn't be able to grow this inside. My growing area consists of a 250w HPS.

Any Other recommendations...or can I grow this sucker indoors? Thanks

Don't see why you can't grow inside, when a plant is shown as able to grow outside,it's just advertising the plants hardiness.

Now, the other way about, a plant recommended for inside, would grow outside, but,for various reasons, i imagine it would'nt yield as much, don't forget, they are recommedations, not a, "you cannot do this", hope that's understandable.

I know a guy who's growing one indoors under 400w hps and, let me tell you that it's stretching in growing stage much more than the other strains he's got. I'ts definitely an outdoor plant, looks very sativa, with slender leaves, pale color...who knows how much will it strech during flowering...

Grow it at your own risk!! ;D

That goes for any strain almost. Pretty vague description saying it is damn good if dried and cured properly. I can grow a brick seed and dry and cure it properly and get great weed. Pick a strain that looks appealing to you.

hey engineer frisian dew looks like a beautiful strain. I know you dont want to waste time on plants that are not optimal so my advice is dont grow this strain under a 250. You can deffinitly grow any weed strain inside but they wont all perform good, this plant was bred for outdoor use. I imagine it would turn out like a purple power indoors just too damn big and leggy, not efficient. Your 250 wont penetrate very much so it dont make sense to me. You want a compact plant, tight internodes, check out frankensteins 250w grow its pretty inspirational. Good luck.

I grew the FD OD this year.

I could agree with what folks are saying about the stretch, it certainly is very sativa.

To elaborate on what 420Mellon said, it has a very nice floral/fruity/berry flavor, and sure gets me high as fuck, and I smoke shitloads. It does yield well, and was my easiest plant to trim OD.

However, there is a CRAP pheno that doesn't yield for SHIT, and has a very plain flavor. So if you're looking to grow straight from seed, and get solid results, than FD isn't the one for you.

However, it was very easy to grow, just feed the SHIT outta it in flower, and it yielded nice, dense buds that once I trimmed them VERY well, some folks had trouble believing was grown OD.

I love it, and am planning on buying more beans myself.

Hope that helped!

All the best,
TG
