Friend got some DATE RAPE DRUGS....used on her.......HELP HER OUT

Hello,
Ok, heres the story. A friend of mine went over to one of her friends house the other day. She is suspecting she was given some date rape drugs at a friends house later that night. She had one drink and was passed out for the rest of the night and says she was raped the next day.

She is really worried about going to the police right now because of the MJ. She is worried that if she turns this guy in or anything that he would turn her in for MJ causes or possibly get her in more trouble than the initail "i was raped" claim. She wants to turn it into the cops but just dosnt know....

she was wondering...

can you test for date rape drugs? If so, for how long?

What are the symptoms of the date rape drugs?

If they can test for that will they test for MJ too and will that cause any problems if it comes up positive? (it will)

Will they be going into mainly the rape case or will she get possession charges or anythying for the marijuana once this gets going and they find out she was also smoking MJ that night?

HELP ME OUT...you see where i'm getting at..

This girl needs some support and a place to turn to.....give her somewhere....and dont let this happen to you!!

i think that weed would be the last thing on any decent cops' mind if there was rape involved. if they want to be dicks about it, let them know that those kinds of drugs lowered her inhibitions and they made her take a hit or something.

actually most all date rape drugs do nothing more than make you pass out or become paralyzed (like Rohypnol), when I was in amsterdam back in march I talked to a guy who had his drink spiked with some type of benzodiazepine while at a club, dude woke up the next day bent over a toilet with some people trying to wake him up.

the most common rape drug is GHB, which can be deadly in higher doses. it supresses the respiratory system and causes almost complete amnesia for the duration of intoxication. (thanks television)

i hope your friend is okay and recovers quick. its good you got her to go to the police. they wont care if she was high when it happened... she wont get into any trouble.

rape is pretty much the only thing I would snitch on my friend for. rape doesn't happen when you can't get laid... well maybe, but at its core it's a power issue; rapists want to be the alpha male.

never met one, as far as I know, but a few years ago there was some crazy drama in my circle of friends because it was revealed one of my male friends had felt up some female friends over the past years on a few occasions. I wasn't in town but I heard the girls beat his ass (which doesn't solve much, but they were rightfully upset), he got really, really drunk and tattooed "never" on his forearm in a less-than-sanitary manner. its an interesting tattoo, it honestly looks like it was done by a 5 year old tripping balls but I think that's the point. people ask him about it but hes never admitted the connection between the tat and the violation of trust, he just claims it to be only his business and changes the subject.

I know GHB which is a home made daterape drug will stay in your system for a few days. I would imagine THC will show up on the tox screen. I highly doubt a cop will even think about anything like that if your there to report a rape. Your friend is a very brave person make sure she realizes that. Tell her how proud of her you are for having the courage to stand up to this guy.

Yep, rape is all about POWER. Hell, if horniness was the root cause, I'd have been a multiple offender, locked up for life by the age of 15

Seriously, though....any rapist is a SCUMBAG and will get his just desserts, eventually. After all, I'd think most child molesters would rather get the chair over a life in the clink....because what a life that'll be!
