I had an idea to turn an old broken down refridgerator into a growroom... Anyone know if it has been done before? I would use the freezer to germinate and for seedlings and then eventually move the plants down into the main refridgerator. Of course the fridge would not be using the frion to keep it cool but instead install and portable electric heater with digital thermometer on it to regulate a temperature and to simulate wind by using the fan. I would install a dehumidfier and exhaust fan (possibly a small mounted oscillating fan if possible.) I dont know if its possible to replace the frion with a Co2 tank so the fridge would be pumping in carbon dioxide and keeping it at the ideal 78% for growing. I would have three adjustable Gro-Lux plant life bulbs hooked into a timer so it would get the appropriate amount of light. Obviously i would remove the majority of the shelving to accomodate the plants...
