Fresh Frozen Cannabutter

Wow.

Much to my surprise, I was unable to find any definitive answers on this site, or various others, concerning the ratio for fresh froze popcorn and trim to butter. So, does anyone have any experience using fresh frozen popcorns and trim in making cannabutter? If so, what was your ratio? Strong? Weak? Perfecto? And no fans in my trim; only popcorns and sugar leaves from a heady lady.

If this is somewhere on this site or readily available, I sincerely apologize. I seriously have spent the past two hours browsing the web and have had zero results.

I would sincerely appreciate any input or sharing of experiences concerning the use of fresh frozen in cannabutter.

Thank you all for your time.

Stay safe, keep your mouth shut, and live in love!

i think the general rule is you use one ounce of material for every pound of butter you want to integrate it with.

thats 1oz for 4 sticks.... or 1/4z per stick

but thats the general rule.
if you have great product, you're pretty good to go
if you have shitty low quality product, you're going to probably be a bit disappointed.

personally, we like to use the best materials we can (duh!), and have found that using 1.5oz per pound of butter works really well. according to our patients, friends, and confidants.

and, uh, we don't freeze ours. it goes from the trim bin to the turkey bag, to the crock pot. maybe we are screwing up here? idk....

....when we are straining out material out of our liquid butter, we like to use cheese cloth. and a potato ricer. THERE IS NO PRODUCT LEFT BEHIND. pretty "fun" making hockey pucks out of pot.

good luck

Thanks Grey!

Yeah, I'm thinking I might of fudged the bucket by freezing my trim and popcorns first. Guess I reverted into my normal routine. Trim the bush, put sugar and popcorns in ziploc, place ziploc in freezer, make water hash. Shit, I wanted to make butter! Not hash! LOL Maybe freezing it will make the trichs come off of the plant matter easier just like why it's frozen for bubble?

I'll be cooking tomorrow and will let you all know how it turns out. Since it's not AAA bud, but the trim and popcorns of a damn near AAA lady, I'm going to go with 2 oz to 1 lb of butter. I'm hoping they're potent.

And you're right, there are few things in life as great as making cannapucks! =0)

60.1 g of popcorn and sugar to 1lb butter.

I'll let you all know how it turns out tomorrow!

Peace and love!

Turned out to be shit.

I've made butter plenty o'times in the past via the traditional method and consistently have phenomenal results. By traditional I mean dry, finely ground, etc.

Maybe I'm just a moron, but the fresh frozen approach did not work for me. Feel free to chime in if anyone has a different experience using fresh frozen to make cannabutter.

Peace!

60.1g fresh bud = ~20g dry bud ..if that....

20g dry to 500ml butter is kinda weak..

I use 112g dry bud for 500ml butter in comparison.
