Freezing Clones Question

I have a female plant vegging right now and i suddenly found out i have to go somewhere for 2 months.... So i was wondering is there a way to take clones in about a week and then freeze them for when i get back around 2 months later?

So they still can grow and such..

Don't want this grow to goto waste ://

Thanks!

Bad idea, have you ever seen frozen lettuce?, its not a nice sight, some plants can take slight freezing and recover, but your talking about freezing the entire plant.

the reason you cant freeze plants is when water freezes it expands into sharp blade like needles that pierce the plants cells.(i am not making this up either) killing the plant upon thawing.

i watch the science channel a lot its the same reason they cant free humans.

it seems your going to have to start over unless a person you can trust can water them. or you could get real crazy and make a drip system for them.

freezing them won't work, but putting them in water with an ice cube or two and then putting the water in the refrigerator will work sometimes, that way the clones will be kept at exactly 32 degrees or just above it and the water inside the clones won't freeze, it doesn't always work, but i know of numerous cases where it has

take clones and give to a friend!

take clones and give to a friend!

or someone you trust. takes 2 weeks for root mass anywayz, it would be a waste cause you will freez them to death. Or put the plant out somewhere and it will be ready for harvest when you come back man :joint: I'd put it out somewhere and take cuttings when you come back, the lower ones have barely any buds good revegg and you'll have buds to smoke when your home. :rasta:

You can't even keep it in the fridge for weeks. It's dark in there. They would be triggered if they survived.

Actually not like that NF, there was a thread back at og where this guy had fresh clones in fridge for weeks, took them out and with al il help of rooting hormone got them to grow roots in just a few days, and there was no probs growing them out, tried it myself and they wont trigger, had a few clones in fridge for 3 weeks and they were just as good as others that were taken straight from the plants... fresh clones, rooted or not, are like veggies, they will survive in a ziplock bag with a lil moisture...freeze anything green and see what happens - nothing good. :D

I've taken many clones that had been refrigerated.

I guess I'm wrong about them triggering to flower with weeks of darkness though. Who woulda thunk....

keeping them in the fridge works well..until one of the strains in the same bag is a quick molder and wrecks the whole lot....keeped them in the fridge for around 6 weeks with no probs and a little work in bettween opening the bags once and awhile.HH. =]-~

I just got out of the hospital and im going to jail in 5 days, and i have no friends, cause i stopped hanging out with my oxycontin using friends....

I hate to just kill a wonderful plant like this, since i got back there are white hairs coming out at all nodes so i know it's a female.... Im thinking of putting it outside just so it can grow and be prosper, i rather do that than kill it :/

Any ideas? :)
