Freaking storms…

Had a gnarly storm hit last night while I was away from town. Ripped my shade canopy off and gave my girls the limbo session of their lives. Had a friend check in on them today and thankfully it only looks like I’m going to lose 1 of 12. I had a massive KA5H that broke her supports and split the main stem right at soil level :( she was so big and beautiful. thankfully I have 2 more cuttings of the same plant that made it through ok.

Oh well, such is life right?

So here’s my dilemma. I need to replace at least 1 plant, possibly 2-3 depending on how my Malawi and Panama x Bangi Haze look when I get back.
What from the ACE catalog will grow rapidly in Veg enough for it to still have a worthwhile crop getting planted this late? I have the following available in my fridge and can get them popped wed/thurs of this week. They also need to be good in high heat/low humidity environments. We’ll still hit 115° plus a couple more times this year.

Malawi x Panama fem
Killer A5 Haze Fem
C5 Haze x Kali China Fem
Zamaldelica x Kali China Fem
Kali China Fem
Nepal Jam x Kali China Fem
Nepal Jam Fem
Golden Tiger Fem
Panama Fem
Panama x Bangi Haze Fem
Honduras x Panama Fem
Zamaldelica fem
Tikal fem
Thai x Panama fem

Any ideas what would do best on such short notice?

I think those are your best bet. Sorry about your Killer A5, that sucks. You'll get 'em next time.

Get some string and lash that main stem back together!

My friend tried, but it’s broken bad just above soil level and split about 8-10 inches down it’s main stem from the V where it was topped, and then those twisted around for hours in the wind. The stem fibers are all broken apart and in bad shape. Pretty sure she’ll be toast by the time I get back to her.

hard to gauge damage by words , unless its complexly snapped U stand a chance with a hard splint and tape

I have had them split pretty bad when trying to tie down stalks too aggressively. Lashed them back together and after chop, strong like it never happened. Big fan leaves repair their stems also. They must be important to the plant.

Don't give up on that plant. I would tend to the upper V first. Strips of duct tape and then work on the base. Gorilla glue can callous the wound.

Sometimes tieing off above the V and anchoring the plant at a 45 degree angle will give it time to heal.

I've intentionally split my Pangi at the base to splay it out. Doesn't miss a beat.

Zam. x K.C. and Pangi need 85-100 days from first pistil to come close to finish in my zone outdoors.

No fun loosing a good plant but you still have a good lot. Good luck.

Plant is smoked guys. I’m all about fixing and saving plants but I’m out of town and won’t be back for a few more days to try and save it, the base was snapped almost completely, and the V tear had each side sit and twist in the wind violently for around 4 hours. The wind was bad enough a neighbors covered wood patio roof ripped off and knocked over another neighbors wall. The branch fibers on both sides of the tear are completely loosened up and torn apart from each other. She was like that for almost a day before my friend got to her. She’s a ghost now.

But all is good, there’s 2 more clones of her that made it through and aren’t far behind her in growth, and now I have a space for something different to grow in.

On a side note, my Honduras took the storm and laughed at it. That thing is a damn strength monster.

The other good thing is, finish times can run long. My fall/early winter is dry and hot/warm. There’s a destroyer in my garden that probably won’t finish until end of December start of January.

I just want to plant something with a super vigorous growth phase so it’ll maybe catch up size wise to the others.

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your outdoor Killer A5 Haze Cactus Squatter, at least you have back up copies so the genetics are not lost.
Yes, more flexible tropical sativas like Honduras resist better the strong winds and rains.

In case you need to replace any loss, i would choose sativa and sativa dom strains of fast growth like
Malawi, Malawi x Panama, Killer A5 Haze, C5 Haze x Kali China, Golden Tiger, Panama, Panama x Bangi Haze, Honduras x Panama, Zamaldelica, Tikal and Thai x Panama.

Appreciate it Dubi, I got home at around 2am last night and checked everything this morning. sad to see the KA5H going limp. To my absolute surprise everything else held up really well. Not as pretty and definitely wind beaten, but will easily bounce back and rock by fall.

I decided I’m going to replace it with a Golden Tiger. Another friend I had given several cuttings to ran out of room and had it leftover in a corner about to be neglected. Figure I may as well give it a run if it’s just gonna go to waste otherwise. It’s that faster pheno I emailed with you about that has the scary garage/oil/grease smell in flower. I’m going to let it run 3-5 weeks longer than the other cutting of her currently already in the garden and see what happens. At 11 weeks she’s very clear, easy to focus on, with a nice relaxation and some noticeable time warp. I crash on her hard after about 2-3 hours into a fuzzy sleep but my wife just stays up and motivated with her. Really nice and strong sweet green tea and slight floral smell after a cure. Be interesting to see how more time effects things.

Thanks again everyone for the advice.
