she was topped. The other branches are normal buds , just this one branch . the bud is forming wierd ,oh well thanks for the help.

If you topped it, you probably accidently performed your first successful FIM...CONGRATS! (That is, if you topped this branch. If not,my vote is for mutant!)

bake at 420 until nicely toasted
I agree with others. It looks like the result of topping. I topped a Thai just before flowering, and it developed a happy little crown of 5 buds. Only one of the branches on that particular plant did that.
Enjoy the grapefruit :joint:

That definitely sounds like an FIM...nice! You cut through the bud, @ halfway down. Most I've seen a picture of is 7, but I had a 4 with some K2 I started last year (but had to pull before flowering).

When you cut too much off, that's when people say "FIM" stands for, "Fuck, I Missed!"

shit like that is normal for grape frute, self toping itself is common and so is fucked up node sets and leaf margin's.

Hiya,
Don't Look Mutant to me!
Just the results of topping.

Mutants dont grow properly from seed.
The leaves can be misformed & the symmetry of normal growth is absent
in mutants. (ie 3 bladed fan leaf opposite a 7 bladed fan leaf or malformed leaves)
Severe Inbreeding over several generations increases the chance of Mutants which should be culled before breeding.

The Ostrich Tribe of Southern Africa is a good example of Human Mutants
due to inbreeding & no introduction of new genes.
DJ shorts Blueberry lines are a good example of breeding with Mutants!

Happy Growing........

I got one weird top like that in my venus. Its sort of like a regular cola but it has like 4 or 5 small tops at the top of the top. :chin:

Its at the back but cant be seen very well.

grape frute seems to like self toping itself, what that means is that the main node will just stop growing and will give the effect of if it had been toped when infact it has not been.

like they said bubba you performed a fim which stands for "fuck i missed it" becuase its a certain way of topping

topping you cut off all the growth spurt to let the lower brances grow

fimming is when you leave 10% of the growth auxin(sp) and in turn you get more heads coming out. this is how you create bushier plants along with LST

from what i see its not becuase of him its just the plant, my grape frute did the same thing and self toped itself (along with other shit)

Actually dude, either that's a gal gardener, or a guy with right purdy hands.

Whitebubba, yes, that's a fucked-up Grapefruit. Give it to me and I'll dispose of it properly. :yummy:
