Im a hippie. at least ppl call me hippie all the time. I guess it is because my hair is down to my navel or the fact im usually smoking weed (i dont care where).

So is there any more hippies...lol...in ic? and how do you deal w/leo?

I deal w/leo by using knowledge. this really messes them up.

also how long have u had long hair? 1O yrs here

does being called hippie bother u? not me. it just lets me know whos not ever getting near me.

i know there was more i wanted to ask, but i got high.

I also am somewhat a hippie. I dont find myself in situations where I have to deal with leo though..yet.Ive had long hair for about 5 years and being called a hippie doesnt bother me because usually those people are joking with me or are complete losers anyways.I enjoy my long hair and like rastafarians and their dreads..its just a way of life.Peace

aw...that reminded me....
why does one have long hair?
iv many reasons. i was forced to have shaved head n army and more over prison.
also to weed out all the judges of book covers. if someone has any problem w/my long haiq i dont want to know them.

lol bong...i dont look for leo either, but i do many many shows. i to like the dreads but i cant be having no itchy head. and to remove u gotta cut off. hu like i care...i might go dread. i been thinking on it 5 yrs...lol

I like dreads too but I was really using "like" to compare myself to rastas dreads and their way of life.

Have had long hair for about 5 years now but gotta cut it off this week for a job. :badday: I tried to reason with the boss but to no avail... its gotta go.

I dont consider myself a hippie but my friends would disagree with me, mainly because I always pack that bowl. :joint: And I avoid the leo for obvious reasons, Im almost always high and when Im not, I look like I am.

Would you guys like to meet one of the only Dead Head that is the complete opposite of a hippie? If you didn't know me, you'd think I was an accountant or a college professor or some shit like that.

where all the hippies?

lol red an VG....iv clients in our senate....bet they more straightlaced than u guys. they older than me by 1O to 2O yrs and im n my 4Os.

but when the doors are shut, they get down and on taxpayers dime. lol

I had long hair for over 15 years but I can't say I qualified for 'hippie' status. Biker or gearhead, were (and still is really) the only terms I've been labled as.

Seems to me most hippie types are generally peaceful, cool people that can accept anyone regardless of visual appearance, beliefs, religion, personality and such. I know quite a few that fit such a description and they're great people to know indeed. These folk seem to exude a calm feeling really, that's the best way I can describe it. Its hard to be in a bad mood when one of these friends comes along because they just seem to have a cool positive outlook.

Wish I could be that way more often, but life sort of jaded me a while back and I never really recovered LOL.

The hippies I know are good folk, and its good to see there's others like them the world over. :headbange

Had long hair a good part of my life. In this day and age I feel like I can blend in easier with short hair. Sort of like wearing camo to me..... Im in the middle of the crowd stoned to the bone but you cant tell because I blend with my surroundings. heh!

aww man plz dont tell me you were walking around flinging your flop out of your face every 5 seconds.

i had many friends w/ that style, good thing you guys outgrew it.

i had dreads for quite a few yrs, But gotta keep it real short now cuz i cant deal w/ long hair.

... my GF is 31 and hasnt cut her hair since 5th grade, and has had dreads for 14 yrs. (back of her knees)....she gets pissed when peeps refer to her as a hippy. ...and especially when people assume that she likes Phish. (her response is always "who is phish?")

(we are marley peeps)

no one talks to me, so i dont have to deal w/ all that stereotype shit.

I'm not really to fond of the word hippie or dreads for that matter. They carry around certain assumptions and ideas with them, I personally don't see much dreadful in most peoples "dreadlocks" either. I have had long hair all my life, it's just how I was raised. I also don't own a brush or comb. People tell me I have dreadlocks, but I usually tell them they don't know what they are talking about.

I think it's just the life of the cow and your own understanding that goes in the gutter. Not directed towards you

I remember that incident with Fabio. I paid that damn bird to mess up his face and it only did a partial job.
