France just win the All Blacks (rugby) !!

just to say that our country win the match vs the All Blacks (quarter of final of the rugby world cup)) with a score of 20/18, not a high score, but a wonderfull victory. I know some others members who will be happy of this results so i thinked of posting that here.

The two team's played hard but i'm pretty happy that we win !

Now, we have the UK to play the next week to go in final......if we win lol

Yes, that was a sweet win. A bit like when Rocky Balboa whips Ivan Drago in Rocky IV (lol). England sent home Australia earlier today in another tight game, so the so called total domination of the southern hemisphere in rugby just went up in smoke.

Now, we have the UK to play the next week to go in final......

You're not up against the UK in the semis skar, but England. United Kingdom stands for the commonwealth members of the British Islands (and northern Ireland), Scotland, Wales and England, and facing all three in one game should be too much even for France

Sorry for my wrong use of UK to the UK people, we're gonna playin' England and it's a very good team.(my limited english still a problem when it come to precisions)

I'm especially happy of our victory because we have some of our better player's who play their last world cup and i'm a big fan of these guys.

Can't wait to see the semis !

Can't believe the all blacks lost, i like the french team tho, especially chabal.
Unfortunately rugby is a very small sport where i live, the only way to watch the championships here is to get a quite expensive paytv subscription so i didn't see the match.
Just joined a rugby club myself, love the sport.

I can only watch the World Cup on the VS channel here in the States. France has certainly upped their play as the Cup has progressed, and I think being the home team has had a huge impact. But it is super nice to note that the Stadium is packed and that the sport has a bright future. I will be watching South Africa vs. Fiji this afternoon.

I am happy to see that there is an audience here on IC Mag.

you judge sporting domination by two games huh? are victories that rare for you? heh.

And the way the English media is carrying on about the win over Australia you'd think they'd won the bloody trophy.

It is a rare win for them though - better celebrate it while it lasts!

I didn't know that there was such a keen interest for rugby here on IC, maybe we should have a World Cup thread.

Of course two games doesn't make all the difference PhenoMenal, as far as I'm concerned the All-Blacks is still the best team in the world.

But having a good team is not only about stamina and technique, it's about fighting spirit and determination too (you call it mental preparation nowadays). If you loose to a technically inferior team in thee most important tournament of them all, then you're either too sure of yourself or your team is not au point.

Which is probably why Graham Henry (the All-Black coach) said that they lost to the better team.

The odds were 6 to 1 for an All-Black victory at the bookies (Eng-Aus was something similar), so you could say that the French had one chance in six to win, and they grabbed it.

So congrats to them, and to the English, for going out of the way to win.

Oh, and don't mind the English tabloids. They've always been on a Cro Magnon level, and probably always will be.
