framing a room with PVC pipe

I'm going to frame a large area in my grow room with PVC pipe and black/white poly. It seems like a great way to build a cheap grow enclosure. I've seen some pictures of others on the site who did it but nobody went into too much detail so... a couple questions if anyone can help...

- Are any materials required besides PVC piping, PVC joints, PVC cement, and panda paper?

- Does HD or L's carry those 3 way corner joints, or do I have to order those online?

i used 1 inch pvc with a bunch of panda film to line the room and zipties to secure it to the pvc. pretty simple and effective. hard to get completely light proof but it works, i would not hang the lights off the pvc though, i use wire shelving to put it in the middle and put my light on top, worked great for me, then i just took it all apart in 15 minutes and gave it to my friend when he didnt need it anymore, worked out great

well i used this method for a dark drying area - worked great. didn't need a complete light proof area so all I used was the sheeting, tape, pipe and fittings. Yes, you can get the corner 3-ways at HD.

I made one as well. It was 4x4x5. I added some side bracing (wood) which allowed me to staple the panda plastic to it and add air in-lets. I then capped it with a thin piece of plywood which allowed me to hang to lights and a scrubber. Worked great.

alli tube wont bend like pvc in a larger room, if more than 1m squared id go the alli tube especially if you want to scrog or hang a screen as once filled with wet fatt buds come finish of flower the last thing you want is for the room to collapse under all the weight of multi lights and your herb.

Keep individual lengths shorter...PVC won't bend. eg...instead of a 4' length, half it, then couple them together with a joint. Hassle...yes...peace of mind...yes.
Also, cross members are always a big plus for adding rigidity.

greenisgold, how did you attach the wood bracing to the PVC?
I used 1\4 inch plywood cut 6 inches wide. I had one on the bottom and middle of each side except the front. I then drilled small holes in wood and pipe at same time and used screws to secure. Very easy to do.
