Foxtailing, whats your take on it

Do you like it? Do you hate it? Doesn't bug you much?

Some reason, sort of bugs me. Not sure why, but I feel like it jacks up the structure? Im not talking Sativa's that I see. Im talking more along the lines of hybrids of any sort.

Also has anyone ever seen fox tailing as you start feeding bud boosters? Little early for me to tell this round, but it looks like theres some foxtails. Not sure what to think of them

Depends on the strain really. Sometimes happens with heat stress or high K flower boosters (H&G ShootingPowder, GH KoolBloom, MOAB, etc.)

I don't mind it but it depends on the calyx formation on the stem (can't remember the term) if they bunch up to closely to where they are almost or sometimes literally growing calyx within calyx... I don't like it then, but other wise its cool and adds character to the buds as long as its not to extreme.

good topic,
Peace

I hate it. when it gets bad all that needs to be cut off ends up in the trim pile..Hybrids have Sativa in them.

Never bothered me, but I'm in the purer sativa camp. Old Timer's Haze above.

Here's your hybrid mega-fox-tail-mania

So , Fantastic Sam's those foxtails huh? Never thought about that, as I am always hesitant on cutting any part of bud. But structure wise....sadly its important in my market...these fuck wads have visions of golf ball type nugs every time.. One batch I took over, he saw foxtail and gave me the pack back. Everything was money but the fox tails...

Now I'm ranting fuck lol...I hate the preconceived notions. That, in order for the bud to be good and taste good. It must look good...
Guess those fuckers never went Hoggin...

Yea that stuff is exempt from this topic lol...that shit looks tasty!

Your last photo, those foxtails ( as an example); ontop of a more hybrid nug looks odd, ill get this round bud structure with those tails on top...think ill need to fantastic sam it ( ill keep the clippings for me of course lol )

My only change this cycle was Moab. Should've stuck with my Gro-tek booster

not sure about bloom boosters... but...

i have found that using super-thrive can cause fox-tailing in many strains that otherwise do not.

that's really all i have to add to this topic. -peace

haha, I could right a book about the misconceptions of quality in cannabis consumers... my thing is density, people always equate density to quality.

heaven forbid your bud be airy... even if it is hard and crusty with resin if they can squeeze it, it is like its not as good or was grown poorly because the buds are not the size of a quarter and weigh 1.2Gs

heat stress, overnuted, genetics, all contribute to buds that are a pure pain in the arse to trim.

thats what i think of um.
