Do you guys think this is a good soil mix, that will cover me for pretty long...this will be my flowering soil... 2:1 ocean forest to light warrior... bloodmeal (N), bonemeal(P), greensand (K)...let me know...and I will add dolomite lime...

Earth worm castings are a must.
20% of your mix.
Kelp meal is also very good for micros.

i don't like the light warrior.. especially mixing with regular soil

i'd say get a bag of ocean forrest and a regular ff red bag and mix those 2 50/50. that will give you a better amount of castings. then throw in some chunky perlite for drainage (i'm guessing you wanted to add the light warrior for this reason). this is the mix i use and its fabulous. simply fabulous. i use 1/4 strength pbp grow, pbp soil bloom and liquid karma for feedings and cut them off near the end of flower, then flush a week before chop. super smooth smoke everytime and i haven't seen black ash ever.

go easy on the extra ammendments if you're putting seeds or little ones in the mix foxfarm will be plenty strong and is already mildly ph buffered with oyster shell lime. also if you plan on using bottled ferts or teas to feed them take that into account.

but yeah i love the foxfarm stuff it gives me great results and that's what counts.

There is another thread titled "moonshine mix". You should check it out. 1 bag ocean forest, 1 red bag, 1 bag ocean forest, 1/2 bag FF #5 perlite(chunky perlite), and 1/2T FF "fruit and flower" powdered fert. You can go your whole grow w/out ferts if you transplant from 2 to 5 gal buckets.

I'm actually trying it out w/ a whole tablespoon/gal and some kelp meal. I'm keepin the results posted on that thread.

Hello all,

I just broke down and bought 2 bags of FFOF. With my good customer discount was 20.00 even out the door and the guy even loaded into my trunk. Plus I got two tomatoe cuttings for my garden.

Going to add 20% ewc/compost and 30% perlite to that.

Humboldt county is just a short drive way. A rather nice change over in Arcata when its 115*F. The drive is nice. But yeah, I live close.

I hope its as good as everyone claims. I have tweeked most of my grow over the year and the soil is the last parameter to dial in.

I thought about just making my own after using the Kelloggs but I real do not have the room to mix soil recipes.

I am hoping I stick to just teas and the occassional liquid fert.
