Seems like its just busy but maybe check for DDOS.
If the server bandwidth is the bottleneck then it needs to be increased. If its server resources (Disk speed, CPU etc) then you can create a scale set or kubernetes cluster for the front end with a load balancer and your container image plugs to the same DB and file storage resources. That way additional web server containers will get spun up automatically to cater for the additional load if the web server becomes unresponsive or overloaded. If your database is the bottleneck you can replicate to read only slaves to increase the read speed.
