FOR AIR COOLED HOODS, SHOULD THE AIR COME FROM THE ROOM OR FROM OUTSIDE?

I HAVE TRIED BOTH WAYS, WANTED TO KNOW WHAT YOU GUYS THINK.

FOR THE AIR GOING TO THE HOODS, I HAVE THE OPTION OF TAKING IT FROM OUTSIDE, OR FROM IN THE ROOM.

COULD TAKING IT FROM IN THE ROOM DOUBLE AS ANOTHER EXHAUST?

JUST CURIOUS WHAT EXPERIENCE HAS TAUGHT YOU GUYS.

ANY ADVICE APPRECIATED.

BTW, THIS IS FOR TWO SUNLIGHT SUPPLY SUNGRO HOODS EACH RUNNING 1K'S.

if you can get cooler air from outside than why not take advantage of that?

Good point. I gues just verses getting more hot air out of the room.

This is good advice but also be aware if posssible try to get your intake air from a different source compared to the exhaust. If not all your gonna do is suck in that hot ass 2000 watt heat from the lamps right back into the cycle creating unsettling heat.

Correct me if Im wrong(bc this is what Im gona do!)- but pulling air from outside the room would be the best,as long as incoming air is filtered- especially if you use Co2. If you were pulling air from inside the grow room, you would be sucking all your Co2 out through the light reflector!

correct, though i think youre a bit hazey on which one should be filtered, from a stinky experience of my own, id be sticking the filter on the outgoing air (from the hood) not sure how "sealed" cool tubes are though there are alot of gaps in an air cooled hood, just my 2 cents. and i rekon i was loosing C02 through my hoods aswell.
i imagine cool tubes would be sealed alot better, in that case i wouldnt bother filtering either end of the exhausts, cause its just blowing straight through...seems like a waste of funds and effort to me.
