Foliar Feedings

How often should you foliar feed your soil based plants? I'm thinking same day you water the soil as to simulate rain, but wait until lights out to prevent burning. Also, what would you add into your foliar spray for benefits?

I think you should base the schedule on the look of the plants. If you start to see deficiency, then would be the time and the nature of the deficiency would dictate the proper element to apply. I would go once, look for signs of improvement and do it again if necessary. I think I do that when I think my PH is jacked and don't want to flood or apply the wrong treatment potentially compounding an issue. Fact is, there are many thousands of people on here that are far more qualified than I and may correct me, but that's my .02.

I use foliar a number of ways on my outdoors ... always in the evening when cool ... altho some say early morning is best.

when the plants are very young I spray a mix of Molasses at 1 tablespoon per gallon .... with Kelp at 100:1. this is weekly.

at onset of flowering I use a proprietary mix low in N but 7% Ca. this makes the flowers boom. this is fortnightly ... and ...

I alternate the high Ca mix with a high K mix ... also a proprietary mix.

so that's M and kelp when they're babies, and low N/high Ca ... alternated with high K on a fortnightly basis.

be guided by the application rates and frequency recommended by the product producer.

cheers!

i foliar feed regularly sometimes as often as 3x a week if i think they need a lil extra love, some mag. or N. been using a product called 3d grow also has 3d prefruit both very good foliars, both are recommended for foliar.
i spray in the morning, mix with some dishsoap or DM saturator

I use dyna-gro pro-teKt once a week as a preventative measure against powdery mildew. I also use it as an emulsifying agent for neem oil foliars. Doing a google search on "soluble silicone foliar spray" turns up a lot of studies done on a variety of plants that defeated p.m.

I am using capulator's beneficials (once every 1-2 weeks) and Sea-Crop (once every month) in my foliar regime. I also foliar feed with BioAG Ful-Power twice a week in veg up to week 3-4, using gypenosides as a surfactant (strongly brewed gynostemma tea)

What pH do you foliar feed at? I've searched a bit and cant find a solid answer. The general consensus is 5.8 - 7. Anyone help?

as long as in the PH window your fine. I use 6.3-6.8 for soil...If your doing it for a deficiency find out the best PH uptake for that deficiency ..

I use Nitrozime at 1/4 teaspoon per quart during veg. Plants really perk up and get lush. Just don't go above 1/4 per quart. Most strains that i have worked with seem to get leaf tip burn.

I foliar feed weekly with my lights on using Optic Foliar Spray. Shit rocks for sure. I believe foliar feeding is the way to go. They respond so well to it. If you don't foliar spray then your missing out. I love seeing happy plants :)
