Foliar feeding?

What does everyone think about foliar feeding? Is it worthwhile?

I never really did it much in the past because i didn't really notice much difference, but using some fish emulsion half strength foliar feeding seems to be helping a sickly looking revegetating plant.

My experience if you have everything worthwhile in your medium, foliar feeding, it can help. Plants can and will absorb nutrients from their leaves with a nutrient solution mixture. Foliar feeding provides a rapid boost to your marijuana plants, ultimately producing larger, better, and more bud-filled harvests. That being said, foliar spraying cannot replace a standard root feeding regimen. That's why we make sure plants/roots get WHEATIES for breakfast. ;o)

If you have a lock-out in you soil/medium-based nutes, it can address deficiencies by by-passing the complexities in the medium.

It can deliver faster results/correction for deficiencies, BUT, if you're using organics in the medium, or other more slow-to-build nutes in the medium, and/or soil feeding, you can find yourself in over-dose-ville if you're not too careful.

Imagine yourself eating both conventionally/orally and through a tube, simultaneously.

I have had luck getting stems back to green from purple with foliar feeds. If you do it in flower though you will get lots of pistil browning.
Have a great day all. Peace, negative.

I use it when they are young and have a limited root system. Also earlier in their life when it is cool out (outdoor) and the soil biology is lacking. Sometimes I will give a kelp foliar when it's really hot weather to help with K loss.
Only in veg though, once stretch starts foliar season is done.

Thanks guys.
I wasn't thinking of replacing regular feeding but i only recently started mixing coco coir into my soil and haven't really found a sweet spot that keeps all different kinds of plants happy yet, so have been dabbling with the foliar spray, and noticed a distinct brightening of colour on the sad looking plant after a foliar feed.

I grow in coconut fiber, and especially when growing, I use the same nutrient solution for all plants. I use foliar feeding with the most gluttonous plants (calcium nitrate + magnesium nitrate)

Foliar never worked for me. Someone once said it's because I used hard water with acid. Said you need to use rain water/ro for foliars.
