FMS Cinnamon Soil Grow

Hi you all!

This grow has been going for a while now. Actually just switched the lights yesterday to 12/12 so it is starting to get interesting now.

I germinated all 4 seeds using the paper towel method. 3 cracked in 24h and the last one took over 72h. I thought it will be a slow growing retard but planted it anyways.



The three seeds popped out from the soil in a couple of days. The slow one never made to the surface though. I used a normal 20W kitchen fluoro tube to give these ladys a nice and gentle start before shocking them with a 600W HPS

Here they are @ day 13 of veg


Cinnamons are pretty fast growers and they went under the HPS at 2 weeks of veg. By that time they were close to 15 cm tall. I also transplanted them to 5 ltr buckets. I topped two and used LST traing on all three. They started to bush out nicely and grew pretty fast.

Right now we are at this point (30 days of veg and start of 12/12)


Cinnamon#1 (shortest and most compact)


Cinnamon#2 (looking most sativa at this point)


Cinnamon#3 (this pheno looks like a mix of the two above)

Looking great nice and green! I am interested to hear your thoughts on the smoke with this one but i ges thats a way off hehe. Do any of the plants have a smell yet?

Not much of a smell yet. A slight puff when the lights turn off, that's pretty much it (sweet smell, reminds me of Apollo11). I hope they wont be big stinkers cause my neighbours are not really fans of ganja smell. :smile:

In one of my previous grows there was this sign that was hung in the hallway.

It said something like: The smell of cannabis in the hallway is starting to be unbearable. If the smoking in the apartment does not stop we are forced to call the police.

That really got me paranoid for a while, heh.

Here's a little update from day 10 (12/12)



They haven't streched too bad. The one in the right (Cinnamon#1) has actually stayed quite low and bushy. The other two have maybe some more sativa in them, and they are about 20 cm taller at this point. I think we have at least another week of strech left, so despite of my training they are gonna be quite tall.

No signs of actual flowering in any of the plants yet. I think these will take a good two weeks of 12/12 before they realize it's time to push some buds. All of my previous strains have acted really quick to change in light period (started flowering in one week), so this is a bit nervous time for me. Hopefully they start budding soon.

Looks really good sure they will start flowering soon

nice work polarbear,
I hope you dont mind me showing my cinnamon at 6 weeks veg. Im using a 400w for flowering but these are still in veg under 125w fluoros. Mine are slower than yours to veg, but let me tell you they smell fantastic!! Some kind of tropical fruit of some kind, im really looking forward to flowering these beauties!!
Its really good to see someone else trying this strain, let me know how yours flower out so i get the idea of how they flower!!! good luck mate!!

i wonder what your yield will be under those cfl's sound like your better off with a strain that does smell in bloom don't you think.do you use co2 in that cab or not .

Your Cinns look very nice there green michine! I think they could use some more light, but once you hit them under that 400W they are sure gonna take off.. I checked your thread before and looking forword to seeing your s.a.g.e. too!

My Cinnamons are under 600W Sylvania GroLux and they sure suck up all the lumens. Seems this is a pretty heat resistant strain too. Overall temps are somewhere near 28 C and probably over 30 C near the top of the plants. Still no signs of heat stress or leaf curling.

nice one polarbear!! glad you like my sage pics and i cant wait to do a smoke report on them. Im looking forwrd to reading your cinnamon smoke report and hopefully you get a nice jack herer pheno....well...only if your looking for that!! cos its a jack herer cross or
something. Anyways i can watch your thread now and see what i have to look forward to... Good Luck!!!

Well few days have passed and the girls are getting taller.

It's day 23 of 12/12 now and I hope the strech is over. These Cinns have over tribled in height since the light flip! Luckily I have lots of vertical space. They all have pretty similar leaf shape and bud formation now. The short pheno is still the shortest, not much though.

things are moving forward.. ..slowly but surely :smile: I did overfeed them a little couple of days ago. Had to flush, but they didn't seem to mind about my mistakes that much.

the smell is starting to build up slowly. One smells just like cinnamon/spice, and the other too are very fruity and sweet smelling.

and up we go.. girls have been flowering a little over 5 weeks now

they are starting to put on some weight at this point. I have tied up some of the branches as they are bending little too much when the fans are on. this is always a nice sign :smile:




all in all everything is going nice with these Cinns, and I haven't found any male balls so far. that was my biggest worry, so all is good. I think they might go at least 10 weeks, but time will tell.




I might end up with almost 60cm colas have to love these sativas!
