flyovers on sat. night at dusk??

Damn...I hate this time of year. I have fairly large grow going on, with some plants that are approaching 8.5-9 feet tall. For the past 5 years I only grew 5-6 footers that blended in well with the surrounding vegetation, but this year I decided to go balls out and I have some plants that are really freaking tall.

Anyway, I was just out tending to them about an hour ago, it is dusk here where I am at, and lo and behold what do I hear but a helicopter coming way. I dove into some bushes for cover, and watched while the guy flew over my spot and than veered off, he never hovered. Walked a little ways away and hid out in some dense bush for about ten minutes to see if he would come back or if anything else would happen and it didnt so I hightailed back to my house. I even started worrying about police dogs and shit so I walked part of the way back in a stream lol....

I THINK it was a helicopter used by paramedics but Im not 100% sure.

In any case, is it SOP for those bastards to be flying near dusk on a saturday?? Usually when I have seen them in the past they are midafternoon flights on a weekday...

I'd guess its probably a privately owned helicopter. General aviation aircraft aren't allowed to fly less than 500 feet above residential areas. He was probably just out in a rural area fucking around and flying low, its really fun to do.

Dusk is a great time to fly, usually, because the wind is very calm.

The security risk/paranoia alone is worth the money you make on the crop.

I would agree with Sam, and especially if they weren't hovering, odds are you are still legit.

Let's see...Sat. nite at dusk or after...perfect time for some folks to drink, drive and crash...Looking like an EMS heli....that flew over and just kept going....and never came back....

I think it was an EMS heli on its way to whatever mess was made by the above referenced Folks.
