Flushing is the practice of watering two to three times the volume of the pot in water.

Definitely not what you're proposing.

Aren't you just in Promix with worm castings?

Generally flushing is just giving water so the salts don't build up. Lot's of people flush when ripening...some growing methods require the occasional flush due to salt build up. A salt forms whenever an acid and a base neutralize each other and form a salt. Salts happen when using chemical fertilizers as these are extremely acidic. Organic farmers flush as well, although not as necessary as using chemical ferts or growing in coco. Organic growers flush to reduce the fertilizer in the soil and plant near harvest for a colorful plant, or smoother smoke. It should be noted that high nutrient levels damage cannabinoid content.
