We want to know the particulars, like pH adjustments (or lack thereof), how much, how long, temperature adjustments, or anything else you find important about the final flushing process.

i flush my 5 gal pots with 5 gal of water but twice as often as i normally do.

I grow in just a plain organic soil mix with perlite. Not exactly sure what the soil is made of, but i got it from a local nursery. It's actually very good quality soil too. I add about 20% perlite to the mix.

I use 5 gallon pots during flowering. I flush for ten days. 10 days before harvest i give them about 6-8 gallons of distilled/ro water and then i give them another 5-6 gallons of distilled/ro water 5 days before harvest.

I don't adjust my PH at all during the flushing phase, adding ph adjustment chemicals would just make more salt/chemical buildup.

Using RO or distilled water will help alot also, because you know there are no minerals like calcium or MG in the water.

My temps and humidity stay normal during the flushing phase (72-77 at night, 78-80 during lights on)

Another thing, if your flushing properly you should see alot of your leaves start to turn yellow.

Many people believe that flushing consists of nothing more than straight water for 10 - 20 days. In straight water hydroponics yes, but in soil-less mixes it is important to flush the medium, then the plant will flush itself. If you just go straight water near the end you are simply diluting the salts in the medium, one needs to put plenty of pure water through the medium (until it runs clear), then with no salts (nutes) to uptake, the plant starts to use it's reserves, and this is where the flush happens. Many gardeners use too much nutrient and will actually see an improved rate of growth after flushing the medium, as the plant unlocks from nutrient lockout and really takes off.

Yea, i've heard you want to give them 3-4 gallons of water per gallon of pot size. So if your using 5 gallon pots, you should give them a total of 15-20 Gallons of water to flush them completely.

hauling 150-200 gallons of water isnt exactly economical, but watering 3-4 times during the 2 week period, which would be twice as often as normal makes more sense. because all you are essentially doing is watering until you have a clear medium.
