Flowers are developing too slow

First off: Sorry, no pics as of now, I'll post some in the next few days.
I have 4 MOD Menage a Trois, 3 SSHxWW and a few runt F2's of some mystery strain going. All of those are in flowering under 2x400w HPS. They've been in flowering since early may, but the buds aren't really developing. I'm feeding them Canna Flores 1:1000 diluted (bottle says 1:200) but every day (bottle says 1-2x a week). I'm not quite sure if its just genetics or if I'm doing something wrong - the plants look extremely healthy and vigorous apart from this problem - can you help me?

I'm growing in soil by the way

Thanks in advance

high temps sometimes slows thing down. 80 and below should be good. size of the pot compared to the plant. theres lots of things. just make a list and work each factor out.

Thanks, I don't think it's the temps... My pots are big enough for the plants, and they have fully rooted in them. The only thing I could think of is ventilation, I only have an oscillating vent standing in there and there's a window open in the room next to it, and there's mostly pretty much fresh air in there. But maybe that's an issue... And oddly, the plant in the smallest pot is developing the best, but that might just be coincidence, because I think it's just a good pheno, but who knows...

Hey Hazel,

Welp - if you began flowering in early May and we're now in June...that's only approx 30-40 days. Depending on the genetics of your ladies it's possible that they have a little more sativa in them then indica, which will also cause flowering to be prolonged.

I had a MOD Arjan run close to 120 days once.... what a nightmare.

Obviously the other item would be a light leak...but if the buds ARE developing then chances are good the plant's hormones are inline for flower and not reverting to veg.

I'd say just keep her goin. Some take longer than others...and if everything else is in check and she looks healthy... smoke a bowl and keep on pacin back n' forth...the ole waitin' game.

Thanks for your advice. Actually when I went to look at them today, I noticed that the more indica-leaning gals (MOD's Menage a Trois) were really starting to fill in a bit more, I guess I'll just have to wait and see. I'll use some flowering additive later in flower, that'll help them develop as well, or at least I hope so.

Yea... the 'wait' is never fun... and I personally am always shocked at how much weight my ladies put on in the final few weeks...it's like they double in size.

Just keep your cool, keep doin what you're doin and do the 'wait dance' as we all do. If you took clones of these ladies at least you'll know what to expect next time around.

Haha, guess that's the only choice I have. I actually did take some clones but they died off in the bubble cloner due to some algae. And they were taken after 2 weeks of 12/12 so that didn't help much either I guess... Too bad actually, I lost 2 extremely vigorous males because of that, but that's how it goes. I'll find something else that's just as great.
