i just switched over 10 days ago from veg to flower on my first plant. I've been using up the last of the "transition to flower" nutes i had made up and am wondering if it's time to go to the "blooming and ripening" ratio of the GH nutes. I usually give nute water and then straight water a couple times depending on how the leaves are looking, etc. I made the common mistake of having too much nutes about half way through veg and the tips about 1cm started yellowing and curling, but that went away after a couple weeks and never got real bad. I vegged for about 2 months and before i put into flower it looked like a huge ball of bush about 2ft in circumference. Also if anyone has a rough estimate how big it will grow before it's done, that'd be nice. It really doesn't matter as I have plenty of height, just curious. I figure it will close to double in height. I've just been running a 8 tube T5 with a bunch of different aquarium bulbs that have very high PAR. I also have a HPS 400w that I used with it, but didn't see much of a difference in growth since adding that up top and putting the T5 vertical, but I mainly added the HPS light to add a little bit of heat to the room because the climate is getting colder here and temps were falling to 65 at night when it got down to 20F the other night.
Another question I had is when and what kind of "booster" stuff should I add into the equation. I plan on talking to my friends next weekend and they are going to give me some some clones and tips as well.
Sorry for the lack of paragraphs and jumbled thoughts, but i have a lot to do today and didn't have time to organize my post a little more. Thanks ahead of time for any tips, i'll try to get a few pics up soon and I will continue to lurk the boards and start posting some more. I've been reading for about a year and decided to pull the trigger now that i've read a few books by George Cervantes or whatever and tons of threads here.
