Flowering from the start!

I came across a thread a while ago(can't locate now) in which the grower was growing out seeds in the flowering light schedule right from the get go. He claimed that he was harvesting about every 2.5 months, yielding about an ounce per plant. Others chimed in on the thread making similar claims.

Does anyone know the thread I'm talking about? Does anyone else pactice this grow method?

I was thinking about giving it a shot and had a few questions like how long will it take for the sex to be established(planning on growing Super Skunk)? Also, should I start off with veg nutes for a bit then switch to flower nutes or start with the latter?

Hello agent 420, I am currently doing a grow 12/12 from seed. My plants showed sex @ about the 5th node, i am currently giving them veg ferts, and will do so atleast for the next 2 weeks. My plants are now on the 6th node...the yeild of your plants will be comprimised, but the potency should not be affected.

I would not practice this, unless you have a strict 3 month deadline to meet...or you have height restrictions. Good luck bro

i have read that, yes you can bypass the veging cycle but the end product will be fluffy and you will loose on weight.

What about strains that are sativa dominant? I heard that sativa strains originated near the eqautor where the sun shines for about 12 hours a day year round. IF this is true, then wouldn't all pure sativa and most sativa dominant strains fair better with the 12/12 cycle all the way through from seed to harvest?

I have seen sativa clones budded right after getting roots and turn out beutiful with nice yeilds, i would really try to consider having a nice sativa mother under 20watts of flouresants or somthing and then flowering the clones when needed as the clones are still mature even if they are small (even one node) giving them a great advantage.
