Heya guys,

Just had a good day shopping for grow shop gooodies :) There's still a bit that i need to buy, but the rooms getting very close to ready.

I got myself a ppm wand, my second pump for my 10 plant DWC and drip feed combined system.

Some of you might have seen my 24 plant system specs? That same principle except its 6 tubs (5 with 2 plants in each and one primary res) 3 air pumps 6 stones total (nice large air pumps too :) )

I'll have one water pump drip feeding all 10 plants, and the larger pump with inbuilt filter to circulate the nutes through the system in an anti-clockwise direction.

They're the fully opague tubs i use. They're heat proof and very durable. One of the best available in Australia IMO. And the pump I plan to use for the DWC circulation.

These are the ten babies. 7 Blueberry X trainwrecks and 3 noosa golds.

My ppm wand, still getting the gist of this thing :D

Here are my bitz n pieces. I'm really considering using the fittings used in spa's and large ponds. Anyone have any thoughts on that? Tried them? Even full size plumbing PVC is bein considered. Then again, i have these here and now, so they do work. I might use them for now.

And last but not least a few pics of my current grow. We're thinking 2 weeks to harvest. I'm planning on going some karo (corn syrup) in the flush water. The plant sugars should supply the plant with some easily digested sugars/calories. The idea being, hopefully i can flush a bit longer before the plant feels any significant loss of food.

Anyway guys, dont know if i should have this in a grow log thread. I probably should huh? Just thought i'd throw this up and get some thoughts on possible refinements i might not have considered.

Thanks for taking the time to read guys, and i hope the budshots were at least worth a look :)

Take care all :joint:

Very nice buds man.
I only wish I had the space to set up a recirculating DWC.

Which strain are those in the pics. Looks like trainwreck to me.

Thanks buddy. We really dont know for sure what strain this is. We were told it was a skunk x WW, and the bud definately tasted top shelf elite. Just lucky enough to find one seed in an ounce.

I did take clones but all died in a tragic temperature issue (cooked em) so i just veged this sucker a lot longer, and just went more like a KBS principle. I haven't had to tie her to the support beams i put in in the cieling yet though .
She's big but she isnt quiet there. :chin:
The next ten are definately gonna be full sized and tied plants. I might go a screen of green even. Not sure yet.

Oh btw, the room is covered with reflective sheeting (white/black thick sheet). Hard wood laquored floors, so great spill proof floor, just grab a mop. I have two large beams across the whole room supported by dynabolts mounted in the concrete walls. (VERY sturdy). And I'm getting some mylar to make a few screens to hang around the immediate perimeter of the plants. Throw even more of them lumen back at her. When ur using over two thousand watts the amount of lumen lost by lack of reflective is significant. So i'll definately get to that.

I mounted two fairly plain extractor fans in the cieling, and one over the central heating duct cut out as an intake. (I just detached the central heating tube and suck air strait up from under the house.

The stench of weed is getting rediculous, so I'm definately going to buld a couple carbon scrubbers for the two extractors. I do hope to spend a few hundred on a highly powerful silenced extractor i've had my eye on for a while. Maybe next pay. :yummy:

BTW, this is the trunk of this mother. Ppl often think there's multiple plants, it's just the one thats been tied down in all directions, giving her the appearance (and to a degree yield) of multiple smaller plants. She's big naughty stinking whore :yummy: , that much i know :chin:

Anyway, thanks dudes. Again, any suggestions or input would be great if anyone has any?

Be well all,

P.S These are the tubs I'm using, recycled plastic, heat proof, fully opague, and easy to drill or cut. Very durable.

I hear ya sog,

I'm feelin good about this grow. I've used these tubs before and theyre sold in every hydro store in the country, so I'm happy with the system.

I dont know if you only looked at the diagream stonedage, that was the original design for a 24 plant system. I'm sclaing it down to 10 larger plants, 2 in each, and only 5 of the 6 tubs will have the plants in them.

So the use of the two pumps from alternate ends wont be nessisary anymore I'm thinking. The volume of water/liters in total has almost been halved anyway.
I got two pumps as is and a 3rd of equal size is only another $30. So regardless i'll get it going nicely i'm sure. :yummy:

About the floors, i dont know how they finish floors where you are, but these floors are fantastic. I've been here for almost a year and dumped all kindsa isht on the floors.
They look as good as ever. I mop any spills in my room when they happen now days anyway, and definately would do on a grow of this size.
(cos i'm planning to veg these 10 for longer then most).

On the concern about the system blocking up and flooding the room, cant argue there. With the pump thats re-circulating constantly thats a definate concern.

I plan i mounting some small plastic basketes, (maybe like knife/fork drainers even) with some mesh over them if nessisary to keep roots from blocking the drainage from tub to tub.

I'll definately have to keep an eye on that. I'll just check the levels are all even in each tub when i do my daily checks.

Anyway, should stop babling and smoke another bong,

be well all
