Florida - severely bricked Sativa, the perfect "up" high

I had the good fortune to run into a fellow smoker on my last trip to Florida. $50 got me close to a quarter of the most bricked weed I've ever seen. At first I was scepticle (smell wasn't great, it had some seeds and was extremely dry). After my first hit however, I was amazed. Absolutely the best sativa high i've ever had. Luckily I was able to bring back about 15 seeds which will be grown out next fall.

Question for y'all: Do you think this week came from Cuba? Or Mexico?
It's obviously commercial, and due to the bricking I'm pretty sure it was smuggled in. Opinions, stories and suggestions are all appreciated!

I would almsot guarentee mexico as they control 80 plus percent of the commercial weed in the united states.

that's what's weird, I've had a ton of mexican in southern cal and this was completely different. Almost reminded me of jamaican. Guess it could of just come from a different part of mexico tho.

i dont think people grow too much weed in cuba
supposedly its really hard to find it out there, and it is of poor quality

there are definitely good mexican buds, but you just have to be lucky. sometimes they dont even brick the stuff up that badly, and it will have very few seeds if at all in some batches. its rare though and usually in the fall/winter.

the east coast generally gets higher quality bricked bud
the west coast gets the brown bricked stuff because the cartels that control those areas apparently dont give a shit about quality

if you do some searching i think theres a writeup with a map of how the distribution works

That's cool (and rare) that you got your hands on some decent schwag.Maybe even Colombian..?

Do grow those seeds,you'll get much better results than what you smoked/got in FL.

haha got ya some of that sexi mexi, i love it too, im on the search for a killer sat myself, good luck, i always like to hear positive things on mexi, it seems the whole world thinks their weed is crap but here in the se usa its killer, we get the same brown crap too but there is killer to be found too, i mean few puffs and go paint the porch energy weed, i like it

Oh yeah, give me some of those speedy mex sats, Michoacan tripweed half of a J will keep me paintin' the entire house till midnight. Save those good seeds when you come across 'em - they're a blessing in disguise

i read or saw a video somewhere that most of it comes from columbia... they just lost their smuggling routes and sell it to cartels in mexico and they bring it in. i dunno about florida tho.

You're probably right about Colombian being funneled through Mexico. The entire south including FL is supplied largely from Mexico. I believe that nearly half of the pot in the US arrives via Mexico. Most of the rest is grown in the US, with maybe 15% coming from Canada, if I remember correctly.

I'd love to try some nice mexican, and it's pretty cheap usually (I guess florida is way farther, and stricter)

herb distributiuon is interesting, it's funny how Canada and Mexico are both sending weed to the us.

I thought this thread was dead lol. Turns out the seeds were viable, I have a male that's about to throw pollen (I'm a pollen chucker), and I have a female that just showed pre-flowers.

I'll try to snap some pics for y'all. These plants are extremely Sativa dominant, and don't like a lot of water/nutes.

I'm just hoping the sample I had in Florida wasn't laced as the high was something I'd really like to replicate.

The male was kept small on purpose, the female will be vegged for another month then cloned and flowered. Should have a smoke report some time in February 2010

I'm doing some great brick now... Looks real nice.. Shes been flowering for about 40 days now.... looks like it mite go another 30...lol
