What's new

Florida Outdoors: AK47, White Widow, Blueberry and Bagseed

What's up IC Mag?

This is my first grow thread on here. Been here a while but was always a little nervous about pictures. I'm over it...I don't show them to ANYONE so i guess i can show them here.

Alright...I do it indoors and out, all organic. My main arsenal of fertilizers consist of: Alaska Fish Emulsion, Maxicrop Liquid Seaweed, Espoma Plant-Tone, Bone Meal, Blood Meal, Kelp Meal, Black Hen Composted Chicken Manure, Pure Blend Pro Soil Bloom, Cal-Mag Plus and Turf Pro.

The base soil I use have varied from Pro Mix, FFOF, Lambert's, and now I'm using Jungle Growth mixed with 20% compost and 20% perlite.

I also have my own compost bin and a large rotating composter. When i fill my smaller bin it goes in the larger one with fresh horse manure and leaves.

I also use Humic Acid, Lemon Juice and Apple Cider Vinegar for PH adjustment if needed, along with ground/RO mixing to help stabilize PH.

Now for some pics....

Back in the good ol' days.....8 years deep in it. :joint:

These are clones from a super cool member:

AK47-LST'd to fit my little spot for her. Shes gonna be A mom and hopefully make lots of pups, along with the others. She kissed the CFL and got a bit toasted.

BlueBerry- Indica Pheno

White Widow

These are all bagseed out of bags of mids from Arizona. I know...why waste my time. Well, I've had excellent results from bagseed and it's all about the love you put into em. Yeah, I probably wont find something looking like "The White" and I never have, but i have found quite a few plants that were leaps and bounds over some breeder's strains. I really like the unknown factor, as well.

Here are some.

They're in 5 gal. pots and were meant to go in the ground, but the spot was compromised so i had to improvise. They are a pain in the ass to do organic and if you knew what i go through to keep em going, you'd laugh. Anyways, thats why they look a bit rough.....

They started like this:

Updates as they get going....
Thanks for Looking

Whats up Evl, I'm ready to do it, for sure. Was doing some math tonight and setting some goals for myself. I think I'm gonna have a busy fall and winter this year.

Here's the AK:

The blueberry is fully rooted and transplanted in a 1 gal. It's taking its time on the new growth. The widow is showing some roots and starting to grow. I also started 2 seeds of: Dutch Passion White Widow, Serious Seeds AK47, and White Label White Widow.

I'll get some pics of the outdoor ones in the next few days. They finally got a dose of P and i think they'll be a little happier the next time I go out there. I banged em hard with PBP the last time i was out there as they've been running out of P and i've been dropping the ball a bit . I'm gonna gradually up the doses with the PureBlend and lower the nitrogen once i really start to see some flowers forming.

Alright, this past week has been WET...we just had Tropical Storm Fay and we got 30 in. of water dumped on us. The outdoor plants did alright but got drenched. They need to be fed but I have to wait a few days to let them dry out. I'll get some pics up in the morning.

The Ak mom has been robbed of clones and is looking a bit rough. She was rooted in a 16 oz. in coco and I transplanted her into soil and that was a mistake. She got a calcium deficiency but its clearing up. I had to switch to 100% groundwater...never have calcium deficiencies in soil.

My plan is to have ALL moms in coco being fed General Hydro 3 part at 1/4 to 1/2 strength 3-2-1 with groundwater PH'd at 6.0. I'm going for ease and speed here and this is a winning combo.

These are all AK clones and there just about rooted. I cut six five days ago and two yesterday. I cut them with a clean razor that I soak in peroxide and cut them underwater on a clean dish. Then they are put in a cup with R/O and Maxicrop for a day and then in coco.

Here is the blueberry and she is in soil/coco like the AK and I'm making sure there are no calcium issues. She is giving off quite the smell, a heavy skunk smell with a bit of berry in there. She still needs a few days until I can cut clones off her. After that she is going outside to flower along with the AK mom and new mothers will be rooted in coco.

The Widow is a few days behind but is rapidly catching up. She is in all coco and is on the GH schedule. I'm surprised by the internode stretching and the heavy sativa look but It's hard to tell from veg what something will look like by the end of flowering. I've heard she has fans you could hide under and stays squat and bushy. I'm looking forward to the grapey day ender for sure.

Feel free to comment...tell me I suck Or SOMETHING !!

Here's the schwagg plants post fucking tropical storm....

Ya gotta love pink pistils. We're still in 13 hours of light so this one is a quick one. Hopefully I can get some potency out of her. :joint:

Some look hungry...some a bit overwatered but not too bad all things considered.

JR, NICE GIRLS  TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THAT GOOD WEATHER RIGHT NOW BEFORE AN OTHER STORM COMES AND FUCKS US OVER!!!

FLA LOVE! :joint:

Hey Toodles!! Thanks for stopping by. Appreciate the kind words.

Wow, I don't know what I'd do if the season was wrapping up already. It's just kicking off right now here. It's one of the best things about Florida if you ask me.

I know it's not exciting for everyone not seeing named strains and all but hopefully we'll have a show. I've got the good stuff in the works so it'll eventually get interesting.

Don't be afraid of Bag Seed people, it's not all herms and hemp....hopefully I'll help show that.

Be safe everybody,

Johnny :joint:

You ain't kidding, FLA GOON !! I'm watching storms brewing right now on the weather channel. Not something I look forward to and I can't wait till were out of hurricane season. At least there not in the ground... then i'd really have my hands tied.

FLORIDA LOVE TO ALL FLORIDIANS :friends: :joint: and everyone elso too...

Oh, those pink pistils sure are pretty. Would be a nice trait to carry over :chin:

Thanks Evl. The blueberry really has the Afghan stank to it...I can't wait to put some love into some BlueBerry bushes. Hopefully it will get some colors as the days get a little colder. There is just something about some colorful buds that make the experience all the better. I guess us guys are just stimulated visually that way. MMMM...sexy buds

You like them pink pistils? Me too...i hope it's a smoker cause she's FAST. I can see her done by the end of September, maybe a week into October.

I'm thinking about putting the AK out ASAP. I'm almost sure the clones will take so into flowering she'll go. Hopefully I'll get her whipped back into shape cause she's looking a bit rough right now.

Whats up toodles. I guess i lucked out a bit. I would've brought them in if it was a hurricane or if they weren't nestled in with the palmettos. They acted as a wind break. I really was expecting the worst and hoping for the best. It was a bit unnerving to see them in a foot of standing water and they looked very drowned. I moved them to high ground and gave them a feeding as all that water will wash out all the available nutes.

I have excellent luck with the method I described. Cannabis can be a finicky rooter compared to other plants and i find cleanliness and underwater cutting to be the most important aspects of cloning. I don't use a humidity dome because it's already very humid here so you may need one. I've never tried rooting older woody cuts but I find one's with a bit of structure root better than very soft and rubbery new growth. Try it and tell us how it goes.

Enjoy time with your girl...I'd take a hot one over growing any day. Thanks for stopping by!!

That's funny, I was the same way when I was younger. Always keeping pets of anything I'd find. They usually got let go after a month or so. Any gopher tortoise or box turtle that was (un)fortunate enough to find his way in my backyard got spoiled for a few days and then let go.

I even had a pet water moccasin (cotton mouth) for about six months. I found him when he was about a week old and had a nice setup for him. Used to feed him minnows and watch him round em up and eat em head first. Everyone thought I was out of my mind because I used to hold him all the time but he was real tame. He got a few feet and my dad made me let him go because he was getting BIG and GNARLY. We had other snakes so i didn't really miss him.

I miss those days of canal fishing and camping in the woods and eating bass over campfire. Ok I don't miss the muddy tasting bass but you get the idea.

I've been seeing deer almost every time I've gone out there lately so I'm gonna spray with some Habanero/jalepeno oil i made up. Hopefully that will keep them away. Also gonna pee all around the plants and hope that keeps them away. Otherwise i'm having venison for dinner.

Everythings been going OK...except for the weather. It's been VERY wet and the sun has been hiding alot so they haven't beefed up like i'd hoped but there still getting beefy. Got a bunch more stuff going on and hopefully i'll get more pictures up. Thanks For Looking..... :joint:

Your b'Berry is waaayy busher than mine, looking good man. I'd say put that ak outside, and stand back cause (especially with all the training done on her) shes gonna blow up!! Trust me dude, the growth rate on that ak is fucking crazy in coco.
gonna PM you.
Peace, Evl...

Your Plants are Looking Good Johnny!

Be careful walking through the Palmetto bushes and watch out for snakes. I have run across some monsters in those things!

I always do some form of training or manipulation, it always seems to help yields, too.
Most of these got the F.I.M....
Fucking.Ill.Method

Fuck.I.Missed!!

The blueberry and everything else I've LST'd...the best method by far it you like Lo-Pro bushes. Supercropping works alright if you waited to long to LST.

The widow is bushy as hell, too. It's in a 1 gal. in coco. Gotta get a picture up.

Also did two AK's in three gal's of coco and i've got them outside....we'll see if I can keep em wet...

Also was playing around with burying pots in holes lined with plastic for camo and to keep root temps down to conserve water...I'll get pics up when it get to that spot.

Trouble:
Thanks for the compliment. You must be familiar with Florida....It's really a wild place still...Haven't seen a rattler in YEARS...i think the populations are declining from overkill. People are so damn scared of the things. You really have to worry more about coral snakes as they hide in all types of weird places and don't warn you before they bite. I'm a fucking nut and go barefoot out there a lot....don't like leaving shoe prints and I'm kinda just a dirtbag like that...

Toodles:
Thanks...I've got my fingers crossed on the weather. So damn unpredictable...can't count on anything. We've been lucky so far, I really feel for the city of Houston, they are being hit as I type. I wonder if this is going to be a regular weather pattern? I hope not...makes me want to move to Cali even more.
