Floramite and Predatory Mites

Man, I have been battling these mights forever. I hit them with Floramite prolly every 2 wks, it always appears to have worked, and then they come back. I was under the impression it had 22 day residual life, but i guess not. I bought it in 1 oz off ebay, I am curious if it is perhaps watered down? Any ideas? Argggggggghhhh....I so don't want to use Avid. Has anyone had success with predatory mites?

Hello all,

I gather your grow is indoors....If so, you have to really do a thorough job (not saying you did not) and spray the walls, the floors, the top of the soil(not drench it).

It is my understanding you have to do a good clean-up of the grow room.

Also, is'nt floramite supposed to be gentle to predatory insects...

My friends floramite he got off ebay last month looks like white latex paint and just as thick. It came with a eye dropper.
There are a few folks selling this stuff on ebay. I don't know which guy he got his from but it was like the next day to N.calif.

I say go with Ladybugs as the may be immune.

I read (so take it for what its worth) that spraying the ladybugs with flat soda pop glues their wings together and they can't fly...thus more stay on the plants for longer eating more mites.

Good luck,

I guess youve assessed the power of floramite. Get some spinosad and try that.

get yourself another pesticide. It's called IPM or integrated pest management (google IPM). I think every tom dick and harry grower here has been using floramite for years and the mites that live through the applications have built a resistance to this material. So if you rotate your pesticides, you will kill the little shits. I myself have started using a product called acramite (any good miticide will do in rotation) to kill any mites that may be weakened but live through a floramite treatment. All farmers of all crops practice this "rotation" of pesticide, fungicide or whatever (it is best to use 3 separate products if need be in a season). Plus, if you do this, you will be doing your part in preventing these bugs from becoming super strains, like what some of these weedheads are passing around on their clones today by only relying on floramite.

Yeah, I realized years ago the rotation method, but was under (perhaps naive) impression that floramite was new enough that no one had noticed any resistance like in the case of avid. thanks for the thoughts...

Are you using 1/2 tsp per gallon, with a wetting agent (like Agra-2) and spraying all surfaces including the leaf undersides and the soil surface? I used Floramite for the first time last winter. It took several days for ALL the mites to kie, but die they did. I especially liked how the eggs turned orange. I used one application and they never returned. Had quite a population too as I had to wait a week for the Floramite to arrive.

How big your garden? Try to order some predator mites, like $50 or less and should do the trick, may need to re-introduce them once in awhile, but we like predatory mites!

if you want another pesticide, try this shit, it will destroy anything that has more than 2 legs no resistance.
i just bought a gallon $120.
i'll sell you some from socal cause i'll never use 128 oz of this shit
it kills all stages
best of all it's organic. i'm so tired of smoking weed that has all this shit in it.
