[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]I decided to reveg BM (pulled > 545 gms (trimmed but wet, under a Amare Solar Spec 260- 260 actual watts),and was thinking to try a method whereby nutrients recirculate 24/7 through a daisy chained bucket system
There may be a benefit for the roots,, but there is also the real possibility of soggy roots, which significantly reduces their nutrient uptake ability
Instead I decided to employ a technique I experimented with last year- Flooming
Flooming is what happens to water running down a river, which basically enriches and aerates the water, essentially making whatever is mixed in the water more bioavailable
When I first experimented I was trying to create a water fall (using a ~ 10" wide dust pan) with the water/nutes splashing onto a bed of polished ornamental stones some 10" below the lip. It took up a lot space, and did not provide the turbulence I was hoping for, but, I had a damned fine result combining it with a top feed Hydro Halo drip rings. Alas, the drip rings clogged from algae build up. This led me to develop my Mini-Me F & D system, which works fantastic
This time I simplified it to just having the water flow into a large net pot lid, recirculating 24/7
I will probably use a hole saw and make a hole in the net pot lid to accommodate the vertical tubing, which will make it more stable
