I was wondering if my basement height is only like 6ft maybe 6.5 can i make the stand for it like very short so like almost resting on the reservoir... is that possible or is it way better to have a table waist height for working in there etc?

i have 2 1000w lumatek ballasts and want to buy a 4x8 table and res, also have another 1000w C.A.P nextgen with a cooldeluxe for veging, ive read that you need half as much light to veg as you do in flower is this right?

it will work but put your rez on a piece of foam to insulate it, your working on the plants, not the table, i think a 1000 is big for veg, how bout 2 400 mhs or maybe a go with t5s

No keep it low as possible you will need all the head room you can get 1 ft light 1 ft table only gives you 4.5 ft till there touching the light

I have a few more questions, how many inches shoter does it have to be to allow the water to drain? if i make the table like 12 inches abouve floor (and res) would i have to build one side 16 inches and the other 12? also anyone know the actuall height of one of those white reservoirs botanicares one? and would it be ok to use PBP nutes in a flood and drain set up? plan on 4 plants per square foot in 5 inch square pots with hydroton.

You only need to tilt the table maybe an inch for a good drain. If you went 12 and 16, you would never flood the high side.

Its nice to have the table waist high but if you are fighting head room, then you need it as low as possible. Keep in mind growing 4 psf is SOG and your plants wont get as tall. There are variables such as strain etc. I would keep it short, then if if you want to raise the table you just prop it up with some blocks of wood etc
