Flo n Pals

Hi all, So I've had my eye on Flo for quite some time, and currently have one Lady outdoors hanging out with some other hybrids. Not the best picture of her, but a stem rub reveals a very nice Blueberry-Ish scent mixed with some sickly-sweet puke undertones on those purple-striped shoots. Excited to see how she will turn out🌴

Here's Flo in her new home, with a smaller Jamaican Dream nearly hidden from this angle on the right, looking like a Chia-Pet 😋. Both have been topped multiple times throughout veg, super-cropped the Flo a week ago and now she's showing a bunch of new branches coming from around her apical stem.

And a Satori from Mandala that re-vegged some new shoots just in time to see how she'll do outdoors 🪴🌄. I really like the ''staggered pattern'' her branches now display after the regeneration process, after being placed outside in Spring. It took a long time for this lady to revert, and now it's almost time for her to start throwing pistils all over again :)

A better look at the Jamaican Dream
I don't mind Jamaican Dream, I grew it for the first time this past winter. Unfortunately the nicer of the 2 plants I started, developed some kind of strange large leaf anomaly and I had to trash it. The smaller one grew well but as of yet I have not tried it. I will have to try it before the fall indoor season starts, as I might want to try it again, I still have a few seeds. Are you familiar with the effects of Jamaican Dream?

First time running the Dream, I have read everything I could find about it, and all signs seem to point in the direction of a good ''wake n bake'' Sativa effect, along with a fruity smell and a sweet taste. I have 2 and they are very uniform in appearance.

Here's another look at the J.Deam , in her 3g smart pot. Those numerous shoots are probably around 2- weeks from starting their pre-flower stretch. Never worked with this variety before so it will be interesting to watch her do what she does best between now and harvest🌴. Both Sativas are sharing space with a regenerated Satori in a 4g planter and 2 of Paradise's Durga Matas all sharing their personal little 2- meter sq footprint on Earth🌍. The Durga Mata is only around a month old and really need more veg time, but I will let them flower along with the rest of the ladies, and want to hit them up with some choice pollen that I'll be sifting through in the upcoming weeks. The ''stud father-contenders''😁 are Raspberry Cough, Ghost Train Haze, White Widow, Appalachia f4, and KC42, 🌄. I'd like to keep some genetics around, especially Flo, Satori, Cantaloupe Haze, and Jamaican Dream. I love my uplifting functional Sativas, just as much as I enjoy the relaxing nightcap effects of a Good Indica, to each its own. Hoping the Durga Mata will provide some deeply medicinal effects along with pain relief and calming anti-insomnia effects. Unfortunately, I don't have a pure Indica to pollinate the DMs in order to keep that Indica line as pure as possible, in the progeny. Nevertheless, in the name of science🤓 will work with what's presented on the table and see what happens, it's going to be down to selecting of the best couple o studs in the coffee shop. The Appalachian f4 is probably the most Indica-dom of all those at hand🤔 and I think the White Widow would also be a good candidate for X-ing with the Durga Mata.

The 2 Durga Mata clearly should have vegged much longer and I don't expect much of a stretch or yield, so hoping for quality over quantity here. These pics do them no justice, they are much nicer in person. These are my only pure Indicas, so I'm excited to see how they will do in the coming 8-10 weeks and the best part is that all the new growth on both is going to translate to = All bud in the end. Wish I could give them a bit more direct light, but no such luck as I have very limited space to work with at the moment. Can't wait to see which seedlings end up indicating male, allowing me to see the cards on the table. Definitely want to keep the DM around as a ''go to'' Indica nightcap, and I can't wait to see the stud line up as they begin to indicate. If the Widow or Appalachian show nutz then I will be able to have progeny which is mostly Indica, not very different from the original qualities of the D.M. Moms. I got this Indica specifically for pain and insomnia, having read quite a few glowing reports about this strain over the years. Paradise Seeds in general seems to retain their solid reputation to this very day.

They seem to be feeling at home in their little outdoor spot. The Flo is shooting-out multiple new shoots after her main branches were trained, so I'm hoping this will increase the overall yield in the end. Jamaican Dream is a brilliant lime -green😁 also doing well after the recent rains. I wonder what the stretch % is on the Jamaican Dream, anyone know?

I have only grown 1 JD, I started 2, the larger of the 2 started developing some kind of fan leaf anomaly I had never seen before so I culled it. The smaller plant, I don't think it doubled itself at flower time maybe close. I would have preferred the plant I culled, maybe next time I will start 3-4 plants and choose 1 or 2. That was last winters indoor crop and my memory is not very good. The JD and the Black Cherry Punch both stayed short in comparison to the 2 Bay Burgers. You can only see one branch of the JD in the front left side and the smaller BCP back right corner

Very Nice, I swear even through my imperfect vision I can still see those trich-layers, without any need for magnification. I am hoping my 2 JD's have similar effects to what I've been reading about, similar to Flo in the sense of ''daily functionality'' and creativity good for daily activities, much like nature's antidepressant🪴😊. Do you remember the best qualities of that nuggetry? How pronounced is the Jamaican Sativa effect ?

I have enough bud in stock it might take me a year to get to last seasons harvest. So JD is in vacuum bags in the freezer for now.
I mostly use cannabis for medical reasons these days and look for a muscle relaxing evening strains.
If I do use a sativa for day use to help this old guy get some chores done, then I look for a gentle no burn out sativa. I must have thought the JD had some of these qualities.

Well I'm hoping the JD will prove to have some functional-Sativa qualities, after all how else would Jamaicans remain productive on a daily basis eh😊. Never tried this one before but I can say that I've never read a bad report on this strain, so I'm hoping for some decent Spice 🍀, and 8-weeks is quite good for a Sativa dominant strain, and am interested to see how they finish.

I'll be looking forward to your opinion on the JD, I hope we both find it meets our expectations.
