flip flop or not

Im about to get a house...either a three or four bdrm....i want to run a vertical setup with four one thousand watt lights...my first question is....would it be better to have two rooms each eith two thousand watts and have them run on opposite timers of 12/12 to theoreticlly keep the power draw more consistent or to just have one room with four thousand watts going 12/12 ....also if i go with a three bdrm house instead of four would 4000 watts be over kill...i also plan to keep a mother tent with three or four moms and. Clones on 18/6 scheduel...thanks cc

Why are you starting out so big? Have you grown before? Big systems can create big mistakes for the new grower. 4,000 watts is growing for cash. This is cool if it's what you want to do, but seems like a steep learning curve. That is a LOT of product to move.

As a new grower, are you paranoid enough? Newbees get ripped more easily too. That said, I grew for a long time in an unheated garage except for the two small rooms I insulated. It was a main 8 x 8 room subdivided off into veg, clone and flower areas. I had more than enough for myself, friends, and the occasional Q-lb. Funny thing, I knew what I was doing in a 80's perspective. The new methods have the amounts possible in a grow several times the old days.

So if you understand all that, and the risk you have going commercial in your own home (foolishness in my eyes) the answer is yes, I'd spit my power half and half. In the room I used the flower ballast was in the veg room and vice/verse. I was blasting out 1,400 watts. If i knew then.... I'd have managed with just a 400w HPS, and a 250w MH.

You aren't going to make a huge mound of coin until you know what you're doing, and you can do that using less than 800w. Then again, I'm running DIY 370w LED in 18 x 39 x 48 for my first cabinet grow. I do understand the desire to go big as you can. i'm going to try to do in that cabinet what I did in a 8 x 8 20+ years ago. I just worry about folks taking big risks with their roof. Lots of fall flat on your face stories out there.

do you know how the house is wired?

not to many bedrooms come wired to run 4000 watts ........ and some are not even safely set up for 2000
