flat bottomed flood tray/tub

I am looking to set up a 4'x4' or 5'x5' ppk style bed. I was wonderjng if anyone has seen a flat style ebb and flow or hydro tray with out drainage grooves. Because of the ppks design these would not be beneficial. I have found some grout mixing tubs that could possible work but they are 2'x3'..I may end up building my own table out of 2x6s plywood and pond liner.


If you have seen a tray without drainage grooves please post a link or send me a pm.

i like the custom fit table better. cheaper too. perfect size 6x 12 vs 4x 8 with the boss hood. hmmm you like? custom 6x6 based design.

hmm im not saying the rez is 6x6 im saying the 6x6 hand built beds would be better. am i confused or am i confusing. rhino lined vs. pond lined. hmm cons pros.

Pond liner is bomber. If you want to use a coating then rubber based elastomeric roof coating is an alternative to Rhino.

I was just happy that some one showed up with a smooth bottomed tray. Pondliner with a good adhesive will probably be the most cost effective. I've messed with elastomeric paints before. I think the rhino liner would be cheaper than elastomeric.. Maybe not though. Elastomeroc will be easier to clean..

Built one out of 2x4s, plywood and fiberglass resin/mat. Heavy, but easy to clean and indestructible.

I thought about fiberglass, but I've never worked with it before and of seemed like a pita since its bad for your lungs..
