FLASH MUAY THAI SUPERAUTO

I got these seeds with the idea of making a seed run with Flash Auto Lemon Haze. The plan was to wait a few weeks after sprouting the Muay Thai and start up the Lemon Haze.

The Muay Thai started very fast and were showing roots after only 12 hours of soaking and ready for planting in 36 hours. I started the two largest seeds and one was kind of deformed and fell right out of the casing when I picked it up with the tweezers for planting. I noticed it had only one cotyldon. I was actually happy because it's my experience after many years of planting that the deformed ones are really strong. Maybe it's because I send them good vibes when I fuss over them. Here is the deformed one after a few days above ground.

I'm also posting the blurp that got me to buy them.

About three weeks I have this gorgeous little deformed plant. I've had this pheno only twice before in my many years of growing and in the forums the growers claimed that it was a throwback to the Thai in the hybrid I was growing at the time and that it did happen sometimes. They were both really strong smoke.

Now I have it when growing Thai.

I'm growing with a new soil mix and it totaly burnt the seedlings at first and the only green left was in the veins like iron lockout. I thought I had lost them, but I foliar sprayed them with Schultz premium orchid food which has iron and they somehow recovered and greened right up and now they actually seem very healthy without spraying. I guess as they get older they are able to deal with the soil.

I love this little plant. The new leaves are coming out so fine almost like needles and the edges of the leaves have little teeth sticking out.

This is the normal looking plant and it looks really healthy now and is growing very fast. It shot up two inches the other day and burnt the top leaves a bit so I had to move the lights up.

It doesn't look like sativa to me but I'm willing to give it a chance. Hopefully it still makes me burst out into nonstop laughter like the ad says.

Here are the plants in their 5 gallon pots at about 23 days. I started the seeds right into the large pots so as not to have to transplant them. I decided to start the third seed in my regular way in the 1 liter food containers in seedling soil after the near disaster I had. Even the third seed was slightly deformed with one large cotyldon and one regular one but it looks really healthy.

yea the runts seem to go mad after about 3 weeks. I grew a couple of snowstrom autos (orange bud) one was a runt, somebody said on another forum the runts are the best in the end, it didnt grow past its second set of leaves, then all of a sudden exploded and dwarfed the other one that started normal. It ended up over a metre tall outside

sorry forgot to mention il be following this one, saw the new autos from flash and this one looks interesting for sure. The love potion one too. Nice mate

I know the Muay Thai grow tall, but I have the plans to deal with it. I have a tall window in the back bedroom that faces west by south west and gets great sun year round. There are also some lights there as well. I grow adeniums, high light orchids, and dwarf plumerias there and all those high light plants do well.

The problem is I may end up killing these plants. They've gone chlorotic again and the leaves have started to bleach again. The new soil mix is bad.

I mixed half and half Schultz premium potting soil and Pro Mix potting mix. I love the feel of it and the wierd thing is my Burmese Pure X Auto Hindu Kush seem to just love it. But these plants just hate it. The ph keeps falling. I'm watering with a bit of hydrated lime in our city water which is already ph 7 now to see if I can rescue them. The foliar spray seemed to help them before so I've started it again. It's nutrient lockout for sure.

I have a radical rescue plan but it may kill them. I'm going to dig them up carefully tonight, gently pick off all the bad soil while trying not to damage the roots, wash them carefully and put them into a different soil. We do this with orchids all the time, at least once a year. Now I realize that this is against all the rules and the plants might be severely set back but I feel I must rescue the mutant because it is special. Actually it might be good to set the plants back by doing this as they are really too tall but with pruning, tying, and growing horizontally, I can do it.

The new soil is SEA SOIL container mix. Any comments on this would be appreciated.

The plan was to cross them with the Auto Lemon Haze to bring down the size. Unfortunately I'm having trouble with them as well. I follow the rule that the largest seeds are male and the smaller seeds are female. It actually works a lot of the time. So I started up the two largest seeds which were very light in colour and didn't look that great and they are very slow to put out roots. I've almost given up on them and started the next two largest yesterday.

These are my lights. There is a led flowering panel with reds, blues, uv and infa red. My reflector is kind of ghetto but it holds 3 6500k leds for 180 watts equivalent. There are a couple of 5000k spots with 120 watt equivalent which the adeniums seem to really like. They are really penetrating and can easily burn even high light plants. There are also some 6500k flouros as well. Altogether there are about 950 watts equivalent but with nice wave lengths.

I also have a 430 son agro that I am not using but can easily set it up if I ever get to grow these plants.

I also have my grow closet in the upstairs hallway. It stays nice and warm and seems to grow well.

Well it was a bit scary but everything worked out okay in the end. I did actually dig up the smaller plant and re-pot it. I just don't know what's wrong with the soil. It feels perfect...crumbly yet it sticks together a bit when squeezed. The Schultz even has lime added. But the problem is that the Burmese Pure X Auto Hindu Kush seems to really like it and these plants hate it. I'm going to try some throw away seeds in it and see what's up by potting in one or the other of the soils and see which one is bad.

In the mean time I dug up the little female and put it into the Potting mix with Sea Soil. It was recommended by my hydro store and it is the only soil they sell. I like the feel, no smell, mild but she said not for seeds only older plants.

I dug down around the edges of the pot until I was below the roots and the plant finally fell over. The soil was so perfectly crumbly because the Pro Mix had coir in it that I did very little damage to the roots. Very few of the outer roots broke off while digging and when the plant fell it seemed to leave no broken roots behind in the pot. I was very gentle and careful.

Here is the little plant after being stripped of the soil. I decided not to wash it as the roots might have some of the mycorrhizae from the pro mix attached to them. It started to wilt a bit after uprooting it, and kept wilting for a while after being put into the new soil but by morning it had started to stand up. I foliar sprayed it a couple of times as well.

Here is the plant after re-potting. I put it in 2 gallons as I might just have to dig it up again if the new soil doesn't work out. You can see the largest Muay Thai auto on the left and the newest Muay Thai seedling. I didn't want to start the third seed but when the first two did so badly I had to. It's in my tried and true seedling mix and seems very happy.

The top leaves on the largest plant are still bleaching and only the veins are green. I can't make up my mind whether to re-pot it as well or just fight the soil it's in. The foliar spray seems to help and the Burmese likes the bad soil.

The little mutant seems to have recovered nicely after the shock to it's system from the transplanting. It lost a few of the bottom fan leaves but all the side branches and the new growth are intact. It straightened right up and new growth is starting from the crown looking very strong.

The new seed of the Muay Thai is very healthy and happy and growing normally.

I do have a problem and have had to change my plans a bit. I have the seeds of Flash Auto Lemon Haze regular that I planned to cross with the Muay Thai.

I started up the two largest seeds a few weeks ago looking for a male. Nothing. Neither one cracked at all. They were very light in colour and didn't look that great. I got 3 large seeds and 5 small seeds. I then started up the large one and the largest of the small ones---nothing. Neither one cracked. I deseperately re ordered them from Attitude and they froze my account due to the Tutti Frutti being de-listed.

Now the largest Muay Thai has been blooming since it's 28th day and I didn't have the planned pollen. But I do have tons of pollen happening downstairs from the Burmese Pure X Auto Hindu Kush so I just moved the plant downstairs. It seems to have accepted the bad soil and looks pretty good now. I put it on the cold basement floor in the dark period and then moved it into the lights and started blowing the pollen onto it. As of last night I have at least 20 seeds forming and it looks strong and is still making new flowers. So far the internode lengths are actually smaller than the Burmese/Kush.

It's a bit hard to see the hairs because it's been hit with the pollen but they are there.

Just with a change of plans I probably have invented a very great strain. Auto Burmese Thai Kush. And the Muay Thai will make the seeds more auto. Hopefully I get a lot of males. Then I can cross them with the auto fem sativas which seem to have no males. Now I want World of Seeds Wild Thailand Auto fem and if I cross it with the Burmese/Thai/Kush it will bring it to fully auto hopefully and take out some Kush.

I love making seeds and the move to feminized seeds is ruining my lifestyle.

The largest of the Muay Thai is about 26 inches now on day 34. The internode lengths are less than 3" so far, even less that the Burmese/Kush. It's strong and healthy and starting to flower a bit now that the seedling heat mat has been adjusted when turning the lights back to 24/24. I think from going from 88f to 56f nights for a week was a good shock to it.

The total plan went bad when the Auto Lemon Haze didn't start up. I started 4 seeds but none were viable. I needed some pollen if I was going to make seeds. So I took the pollen from the Burmese/Kush and blew it onto the pre-flowers. There are about a dozen tiny seeds forming now. More flowers are forming and the pollen has been saved in the crisper. I'm going to pollinate the new flowers that have formed in the morning.

It actually turned out well in the end. Now I have 1/4 indica and 2/3 auto and some nice strong sativas to work with (Hopefully).

The crown of the largest plant is starting to show a few hairs and some of the oldest hairs have already been hit with pollen. It's early in the game but I want the seeds, not volume. I have to make seeds while the pollen is still viable. I can't wait to see how this turns out. If the Burmese Pure dominates like it usually does, it could be great.
