Fisher's Flavorful Closet

Well here I go on my perpetual grow in a 4x5 closet. Right now only 400w MH with a hortilux bulb. An additional 600 watt HPS with SonAgro bulb will be added as soon as it arrives(anyday now).

Here's a list of what just went into the closet tonight:

williams wonder(unsexed),(2) reef's gsus(one is a real monster), and a nebula. these plants are all already well vegged by their donor.

in smaller seedling form we have:

who's your daddy, jonny, (2) gonzo's, and a schrom x suddenly blue.

I'm going to veg for about one week then switch to 12/12.

Those girls look like they have a great new home. I'd flip 'em to flower in a week and transplant the three big girls into 5gals Watch them explode!

I love to see where clones end up. Its the traveling gnome all over again, but with a better twist.
You are in for a real treat with the Gsus and the Nebula. 2 very different plants, but both very potent.The nebula will take 15-20 days longer to finish, but well worth the wait.Not sure if you got an indica or sativa pheno nebula, but with either, you can't go wrong. The gsus should finish at 60 days....man I love that herb.....hashy tasting with eye drying,mouth drying, great stoniness.....love that herb!

JohnBudd - funny how things work, isn't it? started off talking about lights, and now here i am with your clones. it all comes around full circle at some point. the nebula looks to be very heavy indica. the new light should be here no later than monday. just in time to switch to 12/12. i look forward to meeting you as well. It should be quite a time.

Update

the new light got delayed in transit, but will be here on monday. monday night i'll switch the light cycle to 12/12. i've been real busy. always making adjustments to the ventilation. finding that i still don't have enough. as well as the immediate need for odor control.

planning on trying to build a carbon filter. i'd like to make a big box that has multiple inputs. with a blower also enclosed to suck through the filter and exhaust into attic. any links or info on building a carbon filter would be great.

also plans for expansion are in the works. imagine that... i've had these plants for not even a week already and want MORE!!! heh

Hey there fisher, you will definately need some kind of odor control with those schrom crosses. I am currently growing suddenly schrom and schrom sister using 5-gallon DWC buckets under 1200 watts and this stuff STINKS! I have a 400+ CFM pulling through a carbon scrubber and I can still smell it outside the room slightly. The picture is of a Suddenly blue. (Schrom x suddenly blue).

the new light is here!! its from cool touch lighting. 600w hps, philips son-t, 24"chrome batwing. cheap but effective. ballast runs very cool. in fact, cool to the touch. heh

going into flowering tonight. the who's your daddy seedling is showing sex, female! still just hoping that big ww bx2 is a girl as well.

i'll put up some more pics later in the week if all goes well. can't wait for an update from OHenry.

WW bx2, johnny, and suddenly schrom all turned out to be males. Too bad. I was really looking forward to the WW. I'm also only running 1 600w for few days while I deal with some ventilation/heat issues. They are all 1 week into flower now. Recovering from a mild infestation of spider mites. So far it looks like I'm kicking their ass. All plants look good and healthy.

Thought I'd do a little update. Everything is 2.5 weeks into flower.

Heres a view of the Gsus(in the back), Who's Ya Daddy(right),Nebula(lower center), Gonzo(bottom left), more Gsus in the top left.


Who's Ya Daddy(from seed). It's had a few clones taken. Reminds me a lot of Cindy


Gonzo (from seed). I'm really drawn into the Gonzo for some reason. There are two. Both from seed. Both look equally strong and seem to be just blowing up in this little closet.

This is a pic of my indoor grow for this year. My buddy BACKCOUNTRY designed this grow cab. It is powered by 150w HPS, soon to be 2 150w HPS in an air cooled hood.

The box attached to the top is our homemade carbon filter. It is made out of filter elements (4) with activated carbon layed on them. The air is sucked in through PVC pipes in the bottom located under the plant shelf. The air is circulated by your standard bathroom fan hung by bungee's for sound and vibration purposes.



This is a pic of the plumbing. The air is sucked through the piping through the carbon filter and out of the back of the cab. No smell.

Here's a pic of the girls. We started off with 10 seed grown plants, and came away with only 2 females. Now we've got 1 C99 (Cinderella) and 1 OR95XNL (Oregon95 X Northerlights) This is an F1 plant, bread last summer. Cant wait to see the final product. Both parent strains are excellent.


We'll keep you updated on our progess. About 5 more weeks til Harvest. Untill then, Stay High and dry.

I've thrown together a new veg room. Located in my basement. 4' x 4'. More or less made just of poly. heh. But it works. Temps are staying right around 77. Around 40% humidity. Gonna add a humidifier down there. I put my 400mh in there. So still just 1 600hps in the flower closet (4x5). But I got lots of room in the basement for expansion. ha ha ha

here's some pics of my cloning station. thanks to h3ad for the instructions. check out his thread "super cheap mass cloner" if you're in need. it works great. i put cuttings in rockwool cubes then into the tray of perlite. 10 out of 10 so far. cheap, easy, and efficient

This is a clone I grabbed a few weeks ago. I had it in the flower room for the first week because of temp. concerns. Didn't want to take a chance in losing it. She's at home now in the veg room. She'll make a good mom i'm sure.
