I have huge over grown mothers I have no choice to top them

How far down from the top before I’m doing more damage than anything

Been having issues with getting a rack for the clone set up my mothers have over grown big time I can’t even flower them
I’m sure I’ll run outta room

Please help

If its your mother you can chop it back as hard as you want provided you leave some vegetation for it to grow back from and that you dont need cuttings any time soon . And if you do need cuttings take the cuttings from what you removed.

These 2 mother phenos I have are enormous I’ve had some issues elsewhere cause me too never cut them anyway I was thinking exactly that cutting them giving weeks days and than take those to flower to pheno race
