First time with Weed Milk

Hey everyone,
So I am aware that there are numerous threads regarding making weed milk. But i still have some concerns seeing as this is my first encounter with this sort of concoction. I'll make sure to document it since i haven't been able to find any sorts of pictures on here. So heres the break down...

I plan on making some weed milk tomorow morning.
I'm going to use 7.5 grams of decent bud. Nothing ground breaking, but it gets the job done.
I'm going to grind up the weed until it pretty much resembles kief.
I'm going to use 3/4 cream and 1/4 2% milk to put the weed in.
Maybe i'll add some honey and cinnamon for some flavour.

So now to the procedure..
1. Grind up herbal goodness until its very fine.
2. Put cream and milk in a pot on the stove top, and heat it until its near boiling.
3. Dump the weed in the pot, stir and watch for 50 minutes.
4. Pour the weed milk through a coffee filter or a strainer.


Since this is my first time i still have some concerns...
I plan on drinking this 5 or 6 hours after all of this is done. And i'm not sure how long i can keep it for and in what circumstances. Does it have to be warm when i drink it? Does it give off any odors while its being made? And should i drink it on an empty stomach or does it not matter?
Any other information is greatly appreciated.

hey man, you're about to embark on one of my fav's! you got it all right except I add the weed into the milk at the same time as putting it in the sauce pan. Also if you're going to use more cream than milk then I would make hot chocolate out of it..or change the ratio around. how much milk are you using? either way you're on the right track, just make sure the milk doesnt boil.

The milk will not taste good, so sweeten or add flavor, like maple syrup, honey, etc. I let the milk cool enough to pour single doses into small plastic cups, which I freeze, then once frozen, I put them in a freezer bag for future use. It hits faster on an empty stomach, and it hits faster than any other style of edible I have tried, have fun!

Truer words have never been spoken! The taste of weed/milk combo was repulsive to me as well, but I found a way around it: hot chocolate! I just put in one of those powdered instant hot cocoa mixes and it makes it tolerable. Doesn't taste great, but made it passable enough for me to gulp down.

what i like to do is make weed butter and store it away.

you would be surprised what you can do with the butter.

[i like to simmer my grounded up weed in butter for about 2 hours. throughout the 2 hours i add water and more butter sticks to spread the thc out more evenly. the water i add is just so that i dont lose butter through evaporation]

i have a whole tub of it still used today, made it a month ago. ive had it stored for quite some time now in my refrigerator and it still works wonders with no difference from day1.... anyways, what we like to do around here in the morning or at night is boil some water, pour it into mugs, then drop a small scoop of butter into the water, along with powdered cocoa and marshmellows. yes, even here in the dirty south we like to drink hot drinks.

drinking butter in water sounds nasty, but believe me..add the marshmellows and you taste nothing. 30 minutes later, don't be surprised if your relaxin like a muh fuckah.

butter in some hot tea or hot chocolate sounds nice

Hey, so its been a while since i posted my plans. Everything went pretty much as expected. The whole cooking portion was odorless, i've heard that making the butter gives off a considerable amount of smell. After i finished cooking i poured it into a thermos to keep it warm.

As for consumption, me and my 2 other friends actually liked the taste. I added cinnamon and honey during the cooking portion and they said that it made it taste better.

The high came on in about 35-45 minutes. We went to a park, there was 2 feet of snow on the gorund, but we were well equipped. As young adult males we needed something to prove our supremacy. So we shortly found a batting cage, and then climbed to the top of it. We sat there and talked about life and the mystery that it is. Needless to say we were very, very high.

One of my friends that doesn't smoke as much, he even got "The Fear" when we went to a restaurant. Symptoms included; hot flashes, incoherent mumblings, inconsistent breathing patterns and virtually no hand and eye co-ordination. I suspect this is how people O.D. on weed tea.

In my first post i promissed some pictures. I decided to film the process. But after the cooking of the weed in the milk i got high, and that was the end of anymore filming that was supossed to happen. I'll make a montage out of the footage i have and i'll post a link or something once it is ready.

Hey Cheeba Cheeba...

What were the measurements on your ingredients?
What was your final weed milk yield?
What was your dosage size?

I'm just asking to get an idea as to how much weed milk you drank, as I have yet to catch a decent buzz off of edibles. It seems reasonable to think that a drink would kick in faster than a snack, so I'm interested in giving it a try...

Its good to see that people are actually taking interest in my theard.
As for the measurements...

In the end i came up with a bit more than half a litre of milk, I'd say 600ml. I wasn't precise when i measured out the milk and cream so i would say the final product was half milk and half cream. Personally i don't think the amount of milk/cream matters, its the amount of weed that you use. I don't know if there is a limit to how much THC the milk can absorb, but i would assume there is some sort of saturation limit (ie. you can't mix a ounce into a thimble of milk)

I used 7 grams for the milk. The final 600-ish-mililitres was divided amongst 3 of us.

The ratio of weed to milk depends on the potency of the herb you are using, it is always a guess for me. This weekend I used about 10 grams m/ll of nice bud/leaf trim with a half pint of milk and a spoon of water. I cook in a tiny slow cooker, so I just get it hot, then leave it on low for 45-60 minutes. I strain out one small cup, drink, wait an hour, then do another, and this lets me guage how to proceed. Usually one third small cup is it for the night and I just add some water back into my cooker bowl, and put it in the fridge overnight and reheat and go again the next night. By adding water and reheating gently, I am pulling more stone out of the mess that might be tossed out. And I am still stoned today from last night's green milk.

I found these milks are surprisingly strong.. need very little only like 0.2 or something.
Ginger and some sugar are my fav.on mix.
 
I usually take my trim that I've been making hash off, some shade leaf and a bit of moroccan hash and proper bud, and boil that with the milk for a while (aprox. 2 hours). I suppose you can add whatever you like, but my favourite combination have to be:
1: Some whole cinnamon
2: some whole cloves
3: a bit of some good quality green tea
4: Ghee(adds a nice sweet buttery taste taste, but doesn't become too greasy to drink. To be honest I think Ghee is a much better substitute than butter or cream.
5: Black pepper
6: a little bit of ground nutmeg. not too much.
7: some honey stirred in right before the drinking

sometimes i just crumble a teaspoon of weed into a latte after i order it at the coffee shop. it works too..just stir it in and wait a second than drink. not even kiddin ya. sorta makes the coffeeshop experience that much better.
