First time, wanna watch?

Hey everyone

First time poster(second after the greeting room) about to embark on his first indooor grow.
I have done some small outdoor before with some good luck but life changes and I have now moved to a new city with no access to my own land to plant a few plants. I am hoping to grow 3 plants for personal use. I am hoping that some of you will follow me through my journey and steer me in the right direction if I veer of track

I am planning on doing the grow in my closet and have a space of 15inx25inx66in to play with. I have a 150w HPS that I am planning on using for flower and CFLS for veg. Will this be enough space and light for 3 plants?
I will include photos with most posts, starting with one of the space before I have done anything to it

you may wanna make a scrog
with plenty of trimming and early flowering
i guess it might work nicely with 3 main head buds above the screen
even though its tough with space

just not sure how hot a 150 hps gets.. that might be too hot not sure
i never had one so you may consider about staying with the fluorescents

Thanks for the response, I was wondering the same with the HPS. Does anyone know how hot it would get?
I can always make the space a little bigger by coming out a few more inches, maybe I will do that.

I think you will be alright with a 150 in there. Just check your temps routinely and make sure you have good air circulation. If you are going to do 3 plants in there make sure they are real small, put them in flower as soon as your clones are rooted.

My ventilation setup will clear that space multiple times a min. I also have a few small fans(4in) I was going to aim at the bulb in hopes of keeping it at the right temp.

Would I be better off doing individual pots or should I do one bed and plant the 3 girls into that?

All this planning is fun, I am definitely trying to stick to the KISS system

make another area the same size is that on the other side of your closet and use that the flower out rooted clones to find out which are females and which,are males. scrog 1 to 3 females preferably 1 as I see that giving you your most yield.

make sure you have no light leaks and dont ever be tempted to look in the plants with lights out, this is very important i would go with single pots ,them if you have a problem they will be easier to isolate a single plant .goodluck willyweed

Hey Everyone,

Sorry I have been away for a bit, got hit with the flu pretty bad. Starting to get better now.
All this time in bed has given me lots of thinking/planning time. As suggested by Jnugg I am going to build a veg chamber on the other side of the closet. I am also going to increase the size of the Flower chamber to 25in by 30in by 66in. Also taking others advice by doing a scrogg

Couple more questions:

-Will 150w still be good for this area? I am guessing it will be

-Has anyone vented directly out the roof with no scrubber? I ask because the location of the grow is may lend to that. Years ago when I bought the house I had to decommission a roof vent. If I punch a hole in my closet ceiling that old vent is directly above. I can easily open it up again and put it to use.

Venting out the roof might leave a smell of skunk around your place in the summer. It will definitely work though.

The skunky smell is not a huge concern for me, but better safe then sorry.

Another question for all of you.

I was just in my basement taking care of a few house chores one of which was emptying the dehumidifier. Would using this water harm my plants? It got to be better then the chlorinated tap water.

the dehumidifier water is great for baby plants,also if you leave the tap water stood in an open topped bucket for a day before watering .it helps get rid of the chlorine but i would stick an air stone in it for 15 mins before you use it !.good luck

I was talking to my cousin today and he is going to help me out. Wont have to pay a thing for my first go around. Better this way I think as I may screw up

totally agree with socialist "worst ship to ever set sail ? anyone? partnership" ,two sets of eyes ,looking at the same thing, seeing totally different things ,never a great idea! is he gonna take half the wrap if it goes tits up ? no i didn't think so .its great to have a buddy-friend to bounce idea's off ,but steer well clear of partnership, when those 12 oz shrink down to about 3 ish drying ,their will be some hard staring at each other wondering who has nicked it .lol
