Hello fellow gardeners!
Long story short (kind of), it's my time to shine and grow my very first cannabis plant.
I chose NL auto fem by RQS because I've tried from a friend and I really liked it and because it has low odor during flowering and of course because it is rated as the best first-time-grower strain.
I'll make my own grow space from plywood and MDF.
Dimensions will be: 0.80m width, 0.54m depth and 1m height.
For non-metric users, it's 2,62 feet width, 1,77 feet depth and 3,28 feet height.
I will install a 12cm (4.72 inches) 95CFM fan as passive intake.
I also ordered 50 Full Spectrum LEDs of 3W each (actual 2.10) which will go into 12 x 150x20x5mm heatsinks (4 LEDs in each heatsink) with active cooling (40mm fan in each heatsink).
Each heatsink will be indepent and will rotate where I want it to.
Inside the grow box I will install a vertical fan on the left side for good air flow and behind the fan I will open 6 x 4cm (1,57 inches) holes for even distribution of air (as pictured below).
So far, I have everything figured out but my real problem is choosing soil and nutrients (oh and a proper filter).
I can't decide between composted or plain soil and provide the nutrients by hand.
My financials suck so I thought I'd go the cheap way and pick composted soil and just feed it deionized water.
A friend of mine provided the soil which is supposed to be good for any kind of plant.
Check the nutrients and other stuff and tell me if it's any good and if I'll need anything else except the soil (sorry for the image but it didn't have English language so I translated it).
Another concern is filtering the output air. I thought I could save a few bucks and just install a filter from my kitchen hood.
Would that make any difference? Because the box will be in my living room (unfortunately I live in a small house).
Any tips/info/suggestions is extremely appreciated and welcomed!
Thank you for your time reading all of this and sorry if my English is not so good!
