By far, the most important aspect in guerilla growing is security. You need a site that is totally private, if anybody discovers your plants, they are history, camo or no.

Once you are satisfied on your site selection, the next consideration is when to plant. If you plant early in the season, March or April, you could end up with a massive sized bush that reeks of dank.

Starting a little later, through May, will still result in 12 weeks of vegetative growth before you expect flowering to begin in August.

If you start them even later, through June, they will not have enough time to reach their full size and you will have smaller and much easier to conceal plants. Of course, you will need several to make up for the relatively small yield.

Most outdoor strains will begin flowering in August and be ready for harvest in October.

Good luck on your first grow, best advise is keep it small and use this season to learn the ropes. ;)

make sure to harden off clones before planting. nothing worse than everything dying before uget started. build a fence for the deer. I CAN'T STREES THIS ENOUGH. found that out the hard way. :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: hope this helps.

Equally important is to choose a strain that will finish in your grow window.

Long flowering strains may not have enough time they need to develop mature buds, before your weather turns in the fall.

Knowing your last and first frost dates can help determine which strains will be done, when you need to harvest.

If your in North America this frost date selector may be of some help to you.

good luck

Yes yes, lots of good adice from folks who know!

I'll ad a little here too. You may also consider using water holding crystals to help hold your soil moisture better between visits. Not sure what your growing sitch is, but they can help reduce moisture stress if your enviroment is dry that time of year.

any strain can be camo'd or stealthy if grown properly. you can clip the main stalk to keep it low or even tie it down so it doesn't tower over everything else around it after a good long summer in the sun. another thing to consider is soil. you might need to carry in your own mix. this is always a good idea anyway because then you know your plants are getting the best right from the start. good luck.

ooh the old timers forgot to tell you not to put all your eggs in one basket :D

after last year i learned the hard way about why they tell you to never put more then 5 plants per spot and have several spots all over so incase 1 does get ripped you still have many more to harvest

dont tell anyone, dont leave trails and dont get caught goin to and from :)

Take a shovel and some duct tape with you. If you come across a ranger or a cop, you can just tell them you were out in the woods burying someone alive. :)

i about blew Pepsi out my nose, when I read ''Burying somebody alive''..way too funny!!!

hey toast! Try not to look slick when entering and exiting the area. Never be seen by anyone while wearing camo. Wear a red or orange shirt entering the area and still try not to be seen; then magically slip into your camo when no one is looking and merge with the woods. nothing says grower like some one in camies out of hunting season!
Use mulch (leaves) for moisure regulation and top whatever kind of smoke you grow to avoid the christmas tree shape. Afghani and kush when topped have excellent camo value, as they are beefy, stout little plants anyway. have a good season!

When I'm not posing as a serial killer, my normal disguise is as a mountain biker. Not really a disguise, cuz I am a mountain biker and just let my training/riding/growing all merge into one.

Riding with 40 lbs of water in a backpack will really whip you into shape fast!
