Okay,
For reasons unknown, I was given a nice sized indica plant, 3ish feet or so tall. I'm using a UFO LED light, it's all I have right now. Got it in it's first week of flowering, it's doing good so far. Soil, not hydro or anything.
My question - the bottom leaves are dying, drying up, IDK if the previous grower took care of it or knew anything at all. I water it two times a day, a decent amount, seems okay there. There is definitely not enough light reaching the bottom area of the plant, I was not prepared to grow at all. Is this normal? and should I trim/cut off all the unnecessary big shade leaves at the bottom that have no buds/flowers growing on them? And leave only the branches growing colas? It would free up a lot of space for light. And if so, do I cut them at an angle like roses and such? I'm a complete newbie to the details of cannabis but understand overall certain things.
Thanks.
